Sound engineer Ben Findlay discusses the process of restoring and mixing the audio for Peter Gabriel’s Athens concert of 1987.
The concert captures the last shows of Peter Gabriel’s ‘This Way Up’ tour that accompanied the release of the album ‘So’. It was originally released as the film ‘POV’, but this restoration work was completed for inclusion in the So 25th anniversary Box Set, released on 2012.
Ben has worked with a wide array of artists and provided the front of house sound mix for Peter’s Back to Front Tours of 2012-2014 and worked at Real World Studios on a number of releases for Real World Records.
