
Here’s an interesting article about the work of the British Library Sound Archive and some of the events they are hosting over the next few months and the work they are doing to not only preserve the nation’s sound archive but also to support the creation of new work by artists, composers, academics, record labels and curators.
Peter himself was the beneficiary of the work and experience of the Sound Archive during the composition of the music that features in Martin Scorsese’s The Last Temptation of Christ which went on to become the Passion album.
For Peter, the Sound Archive remains as source of inspiration to this day, saying; “There is so much great stuff there, most of which you can’t reach by googling.”
