On Thursday, 25 April at the Troxy in London, Real World Studios won the Music Producers Guild ‘Studio of the Year’ Award for 2024.
The Music Producers Guild Awards, in association with Dolby & Mix with the Masters, are the most prestigious awards in music production, celebrating the best talent working behind the scenes in the British music industry.
The award was collected by Tim Oliver and members of the studios team.
I think we were probably an outsider in this particular part of the evening so it’s super appreciated.
Real World has gone through a number of different reincarnations but right now we have our old stalwarts who have been working with us for a long time and are doing an amazing job but we’ve had a new injection of life and some super-smart, musical, able minds have come on board and are turning things around in wonderful ways and now getting heavily into immersive audio, not just as a means of making a fast buck, really trying to explore a new medium, so it’s exciting times for us.
It feels a little bit like it did in the old days, at the beginning, and I’ve had very little to do with it. We have an amazing group of people now working with us so this is for all of them. From maintenance to buildings to the gardens there’s a whole new energy there and I’m enormously grateful to all of them and to all of you for giving us this award, thank you so much. – pg
