Very sad to say goodbye to Jamie Reid. He came to Real World to work on the Afro Celt’s logo and album covers, invited by their founder Simon Emmerson. Immediately he became the group’s style shaman – an endless source of ideas.
Jamie was always full of enthusiasm and loved to challenge whatever the status quo was. When everyone was doing things digitally he insisted on creating by hand, when covers were getting slick and very professional he took the essence of the kidnap note to define the look and feel of the punk movement.
An anarchic, creative and passionate iconoclast, Jamie was unique in the design world and will be missed by all of us.
