But who wanted 100 millions of old italian £ -lire ( today it's 50.000 euros) to use "The Rhythm. .. "?? Virgin records I suppose?? Now i understand why Mr. Richard Branson is so rich!

Wonderfol story Dolce - I must add that comic/filmmaker Verdone is notoriously a huge fan of classic Rock and an amateur drummer.
He even referenced to an 1982 'genesis' concert in one of his movies.
As to PG and royalties: his tracks are quite expensive to get apparently - they had requested his eponymous song for the Sledge Hammer! TV series (one of the funniest things ever btw) but it turned out to be too expensive and they had to hire Danny Elfman to compose the theme song.
