Wonder if anyone can help me...
A couple of weeks ago, I ordered the Encore 2012 Hollywood Bowl show. For some reason, rather than being processed by The Music.com, this entailed making a PayPal payment to someone at a realworld.co.uk address, and I received a PayPal receipt but no order confirmation.
It is now over 2 weeks later, and I have no CD. I have repeatedly emailed both the person at RealWorld whose PayPal account has had my money, and the sales@womadshop address to find out what is going on, and have had no response at all to any email. The Womad shop 0870 phone number goes straight to voicemail every time I try it.
This is, frankly, unacceptable from a supposedly professional operation. I'm on the verge of reporting the transaction to PayPal and my card company as fraudulent, as the total lack of response to several emails over the course of a week is not inspiring confidence.
Has anyone else managed to order the Hollywood Bowl show and receive it? Did you do so by making a dubious-looking PayPal payment to a random realworld.co.uk address? Am I the victim of some phishing scam? Or has RealWorld burned down in the last week or so?
Any advice gratefully received before I get my credit card company involved.

Sorry, this is just a fan forum and site, so threats of involving your credit card company for an issue, really won't do any good. Best to use all the contact info at the Womad Shop or Music.com for this issue. They aren't the quickest to ship and depending on what country you are in, it can take a couple or three weeks to receive the product. Mostly based on people that have been in the same boat as you.

Hi spl237 -- just a quick note here to tell you that there have been a few of us who have had problems with WOMAD shop sometimes, but I think the problem can be resolved for you (they always have for me, so I hope the same for you too).
As mentioned above, I'm not sure what country you are in, but two weeks seems to be a reasonable time comeing from WOMADshop (although I understand how it seems unreasonable to you). I am not sure about the PayPal account -- and naming a specific person?? -- that part does concern me a bit, because that is not typically the way in which orders are placed through WOMADshop. (However, when I had a question about an order of cds (much like your question), I did have one person's name who responded, so perhaps it is legitimate on your part).
In any case, please contact WOMADshop through your e-mail, explaining your problem -- if it was a fraudulent process (using PayPal), they will be sure to let you know. Also, since you've contacted them by phone -- I would suggest leaving a message for them, asking them to contact you asap.
Best of luck with it all. As much as the process can be a bit slower with WOMADshop at times, I truly have always found them to be very good about resolving any problems.
