Forums » Peter Gabriel » Plumb - I WANT YOU HERE (begins with "In Your Eyes," DEFINITELY worth a listen!)

I've been patiently waiting for Plumb to bring out her most recent album and lo and behold, a live performance of one of her songs started out with a long intro with "In Your Eyes." I was shocked to say the least, but pleasantly. Would be curious to hear what everyone else thinks. Enjoy! BTW, she's a Christian artist Plumb - I WANT YOU HERE (Official Live Performance) http://www.godtube.com/watch/?v=WKLL7PNX

godtube ?!? The song has (unfortunately IMO) religious overtones in itself, so all that seems legit. Plus, the cover is good. And the girl is cute in a weird way.

She sang that beautifully. I have never heard of Plumb until just now. I didn't continue with the video after IYE ended, but she did a fine job. Funny story about religious questioning and music. I was car pooling yesterday to a meeting that required 10 of us to be there. I was in the car with people I knew but not that well. Making small talk about what music to listen to. The driver asked me what I liked, I said it really doesnt matter as long as it's not rap or hip hop, but I do like ... and I rattled off several bands, when I said Genesis, he said 'Is that Christian music?'

Genesis as a Christian music But in a way they were/are, of course, Christians - as Christianity as a culture surrounds us - and what for is their tribute to the first book of the bible? They are no atheists I am not very fond of this version of "In your eyes"- I don't even see a proper link between her lyrics and "In your eyes" or just a very artificial Never heard of Plumb before, she is so ... cute

Thanks for sharing this Uncle Punk. Plumb has a very nice voice and does PG much justice with the "In Your Eyes" intro to the song...well done.
