Yep, gluttons for punishment we are, but a cold beer does help with the wait.

got any sleeping pills? ha
Zenrider 22 February at 8:21pm Posts: 3547 (2 today) Status: offline
No, sleeping pills, but I have a couple of videos I took at the Adler Planetarium last night at their 'Adler After Dark' event that might help pass some time. Sadly, I did not take my good camera, so a little fuzzy/shaky at times, but not too bad over all. Lion Dancers http://youtu.be/qSZVG0_xKpI Not sure what this Dance was called. http://youtu.be/hpV7cH1ikkU I would do Adler After Dark again, will have to watch their monthly events. A little tricky with my work schedule, but not necessarily impossible. Hopefully I won't have to drive home in a blizzard afterwards again. The good thing is, I took a train the part of the way, so didn't have to drive out of the city in those conditions. There are closer train stations to home then the one I went to, but they have more limited schedules and I did not want to get stuck downtown overnight. The Adler is about a 2.5 mile walk from Union Station. Much easier to walk in warmer weather. It started snowing right after the event, by the time I got to the station I was coated in icy snow, thinking next year I am definitely going to Florida.

Bert Sausage! Well they say it takes one to know one (loony not sausage). Mulled wine would go down better here but I guess cold beer is ok

All's good here, the rain has finally let up a little, and as Queensland only has 2 modes of weather, either very wet or very hot, its now for sure a good time for a cold beer. Hows things way back yonder? Has winter finally given you folks a break?
Ellee 7 March at 8:13pm Posts: 1015 (0 today) Status: offline
Winter has given us a break - but just a break! It is going to freeze down to temperatures 5 degrees below 0 Celsius and colder again ... argh, no need for winter here, anymore. We had some lovely days here in Germany: sunshine and warmth, a real cure after this long dark winter-period. But winter did not give in; spring has to wait again for at least one week. I wouldn't drink a cold beer - a cup of warm rooibos tea still is very welcome Enjoy your beer on the other side of earth!! What a bunch of loonies we are : cheers with rooibos tea

Looks like I might have to get another round in. It appears later on in the year there may well be a little sausage running around! The drinks are on me.

In french we would say : pour un coup d'essai c'est un coup de maître !!!! which would be translated more or less by : for an attempt it's a master result ...... Well, that's really wonderful and life is simply perfect ...... take care of the mother and sleep sleep sleep when you can !!!!! and by the way are you about to inherit from two boys or two girls ?
