Hi Lunatics, I came here today to write a message that is not very easy to mention here – especially here, because I do not want it to seem as if I am accusing anyone here, but I need to address a serious issue here, with the intent to have you read this and be made aware of the problem. No accusations, no nothing, except an FYI . . . I am posting this on the moon so that I could capture your attention here – since not everyone is on facebook and only a very few correspond with me in any other way. Again, I hope that it can be read and understood so that you, too, can be alerted to this. Over the past week or so, I have begun to receive spam in my facebook account and although it would not typically bother me, the content of some of the messages were very, very similar to those I had received a few years ago. At that time, I was able to identify the culprit, and basically just asked the person to stop – both here and on facebook. The person did and no further problems (at least, none that I’m aware of to date). Although the current message (and a few other things) is not threatening or anything in that nature, they are annoying, bothersome – harassing (according to the laws of cyberspace ?). I’m hoping that they just go away, but wanted to mention it here because whomever the spammer is has a PG-related interest (as it’s happened to a few others now and that is the one connecting factor). Again, typically, it’s not a big deal and many of us have dealt with these various spammers in the past (and will again in the future, I’m sure), but it recently has carried over to my cell phone account – and that is not cool. I realize that the first response from anyone (including face book, etc.) would be to just change my information, but unfortunately, I do not see that as a solution and am not willing to change every single thing in my daily business so that someone can get his/her kicks this way. I have taken all the steps I need to ensure that any/all of my accounts are being closely monitored, etc., and reported the suspicious behaviors to the proper people at facebook (who probably only receive a gazillion of these types of claims). So, in the end, I just wanted to warn any of you who might have a facebook account to be on the alert – just in case you receive any such problematic things. Kind regards to all.
