Genesis is a lovely word, what could be said against it??

PG is a sensitive man, we all can understand the history, but he did a very important part there and one or two little songs would be so wonderfull, even if he would sing like a raven ( what he will not, he sings nowadays very good , a bit more adult male, just whow!).
Come on!

I'm disappointed that Peter didn't attend the hall of fame in 2010 and the other Genesis members didn't perform.
All the original members are still alive and in their early 60's, so why can't they get together one more time huh? I know Phil can't drum anymore but Chester Thompson could fill in for him. I don't care if the performance is good or bad because it would be the THRILL OF A LIFETIME to see Genesis on stage again and Peter singing The Carpet Crawlers

Come on Genesis! Do it for your fans, do it for charity. Just do it please.

Rise, you are right, i think Peter has nothing "against" Genesis, they are friends and i think he loves that magic moments with them when he was young.

Mabye he is annoying with old fans when they ask him the old question: why do you left Genesis?

Come on Peter, please, give a gift for us , here the fantastic song

"There is lambswool under my naked feet.
The wool is soft and warm,
- gives off some kind of heat. .. . ..."
. . only Peter can sing, nobody else in the world, sorry for others who try to perform, but we have only ONE Gabriel. No copy, thanks.
. . . .

"Copies" might even be a good thing - problem is, the other guys who try sound at best like parodies. At worst, like Phil Collins.

I'am dissapointed that he does not answer us when we sent nice letters, or funny gifts ... even if we know that it is not him which answers ...

I sent a portrait of him that my daughter made when she was 3... No answer, but the portrait didn't much looked like him !!!!

nope, never been disappointed in Peter.
well, I had hoped he would shake my hand at soundcheck ,Red Rocks, 2011 but my disappointment was fleeting. I could care less now if I ever shake his hand, or meet him. It's not that I don't love him, I will eternally, but it just not important anymore.

He hasn't played in Florida since 2003 either, but that has led me to many amazing opportunities to see him in lots of fantastic places, and I've met some really great lunies on the travels!
A disappointment I have with PG would be that the concert in Verona won't ever be released, it was filmed, but won't be released due to some issues with the orchestra that performed with him there. Waiting for PG to arrive on stage for that show, late because he was having his make up done for the filming, and then never to be released.

I'm with Lore on this topic, for sure. I've never been disappointed by PG. Not once. I think to be disappointed, one has to have expectations that are unmet -- and although I've had expectations (such as, I'm still waiting to hear from PG that he'll agree to play a small intimate concert in my home

), any/all my expectations are met in some form or another by PG. So, no "disappointment" here, but some expectations that haven't yet been fulfilled, but I'm always the never-ending hopeful one, so it remains to be seen.

As for the unreleased material (as Laura mentioned), I agree there as well . . . I'd have love to have seen a dvd of the private Big Room concert -- that would have been great to see also.
And much like many others here, of course I'd love to hear some new material, but just as he's entitled to his year of interesting things, I'm also filling my time with some of my own interesting things. Not being on the internet endlessly is one of the major changes I've made this year (2013) and it's too early to say, but so far, so good.
Happy New Year to all!

What may be a hopeful sign he has always played Vancouver in a year that ends in a "3" 1983 - 1993 and 2003 - so maybe there is hope for 2013

Peter every time finds an interesting ways to make money, now the application for apple...I'm ok with that but i hope the tour of 2013 will not be exatly the same of this last american..I didn't resist so i watched a lot of videos from youtube,if he will open the concert with the uncomplited "O BUT" i will be a little disappointed...Imagine if his next tour he will sing 2 or 3 songs of an upcoming album ,that will be the best night and concert ever!
I also think that if the problem are the lyrics maybe this is in some ways good, like peter said ,if an artist has restrictions this is only good for him,so why don't make an album with singed songs and instrumentals?that will be awesome for me!A concept album!
So never disappointed, but a little afraid i will be,so much time to wait until october..

Don't understand, if he has problems with lyrics he should make an album with songs??Eh?
Next: Seems there is a time for mobbing again here around. Tse, tse!
We should leave this rest-pubertär behaving, I think and feel, it is not the worthy way a man, who is honoured by prizes for his humanitarian activities, should be surrounded in his club.

So act different, when you feel annoyed, just mob yourself and

Thank you rise of course,i'm not annoyed i'm just write what i think, without any bad feelings..That wasn't a provocation,i really would love an album with half songs instrumentals,Peter said many times that for him is much easyer make music ,but he has difficulty write lyrics .I'm a musician too,so i understand very well what he means.Peter is one of the few artist who could pass over the rules of record industry. So I'm not trying to mobbing anyone,i'm very sorry if you felt that way but please do not be so disrespectful ,take it easy.

@Ela: the issues concerning the Verona concert were not with the orchestra - PG was completely voiceless then.
He tried to re-record the vocals but he wasn't satisfied with the results...

@ Caste -- I could be wrong, but I think that what Laura (Ela) is referring to is that once PG wanted to re-record the vocals, due to contract problems with the orchestra, it could not be re-worked and re-issued. (I was present during the conversation when Laura asked this of someone with reliable information. So, I think that's what happened -- it cannot be reworked because of the orchestra's contract, etc., (Correct me if I'm wrong, Laura).
Anyway, I'm shuffling back off to my own "Never Been Disappointed by PG" corner.
Kind regards.

I don't think he has problems with the lyrics for OBUT so much, as he's using it as a way to connect with fans and include them in the creative process.
As for Verona, don't know.
