I too wish to pass on my sincere condolences -- but I am also wondering why I cannot find any mention of this anywhere but in this thread? Not on this website, nor through Google . . . seems it would deserve some passing mention. Danitaly, where did you hear it from?

This info requires facts and a link, because it is nowhere on Peter's page and you would think that either FB or here ( in the news section) would be where you would find the announcement.
There is no mention on the internet (not that it really could or would be).
Not good to mention this if there is no confirmation. Please, before this goes any further - can you please state exactly what facebook page is giving this information?

This has been confirmed by someone close to the family. Mr. Gabriel passed this morning, November 9, 2012, which is why nothing is in the papers yet.
A very sad time for the family. My condolences to you and yours. Your father certainly lived a long and bountiful life.

Thinking about Mr. Gabriel
To live to 100, think of all the advancements he saw in his lifetime.
He also got to see his son become an exceptional person known around the world, got to see his grand kids and even his great grand child.
Bless him and those he left behind, truly a life worth celebrating.
