When are they expected to ship??? I am patiently awaiting my Red Rocks! And a quick question to So Special Anniversary Box set holders- did they actually include fan memories in the book as they requested, or was that dropped?

My patience will soon be rewarded, it is on its way, shipped Nov 2. Strange I didn't receive an email notification, though, went to Music.com and looked it up. Whoo hoo, can't wait!!!.

good news Lore!! I am getting the JB one simply because I was there ... would be nice to afford all 16 wouldn't it? side note: not even sure if Jones Beach survived the Hurricane. Robert Moses is in pretty bad shape & closed until further notice. (Robert Moses is another state park on Fire Island NY)

Lori -- That's exciting to hear and you'll have to let us know how the cd is. I did get an e-mail from themusic.com stating that my cds had been mailed, so I'm hoping to get mine soon, as well. I ordered Philly and VA because they were the best of the 3 shows I attended. I also ordered Hollywood Bowl because I had it on good, sound advice that it was a very good show. I thought it would be nice to have one from a show I didn't attend just to experience it. Lori -- as for the SO package. Unfortunately, I didn't see any of the fan memorabilia (although, admittedly, I only glanced through it quickly and haven't taken much time to read it through). Who knows? Perhaps there will be a booklet/program put together with the fans' collections -- that would really be nice, yeah? I hope for the sake of those who contributed that it'll be done. For Moonstorm -- Not sure if you saw photos of Jones Beach that were on facebook, but it really took an incredibly hard hit from the storm, so I'm not sure if it's able to be restored. I hope that they can restore it though, because it really was a beautiful venue and would be a sad loss for the area. Kind regards,

Yeah, I need to get on that I guess. Don't like that I have to 'register' with a site that I will likely not use much.

Good morning! Moonstorm, I too saw photos of Jones Beach and it was very flooded! The photos I saw must have been the ones Pat saw or posted.... It would be great to have all 16 but would I really listen to each and every show? Probably not. Like you, I had to order the show I was at and can't wait to hear it again, to hear that voice again... Peter really knock that one out of the park in my humble opinion. Is the first song on the disk, the song where it sounded like he was speaking in tongues, OBUT? I want to hear that again as it was so interesting the way he was just channeling the lyrics as he sang it. At least that's what I sensed he was doing. Thanks Pat for the info on the book. So strange that they requested folks to send in memories. I know you didn't send in anything and many here probably didn't but weird they did nothing with them. Yes, the Hollywood Bowl I hear was an amazing show, and didn't he play Humdrum for that gig? Let me know how it sounds too and yep, as soon as I hear Red Rocks, I'll let you know how it is... Zen, register, buy, deactivate. Simple. Have a great day, Happy Friday and everyone be well!

Hi all, For Zenrider -- the music.com is exactly like amazon.com and perhaps you don't use that either, but it's the only way they operate... Thru the mail so as Lori said, it's simple to sign up just as you would be giving information for anything being shipped and I honestly don't get anything from them unless there is something new. I also have many things go to my junk mailbox so I can sort it for myself, so it's not a big deal. Hopefully you'll be able to get a copy of your favorite show. Lori -- yep, the photos from jones beach were on Facebook. I had shared them after my friend And fellow lune, Stacey Drucker, had posted them. Stacey is from Long Island and she and I have been friends since the beginning of this site and found out that we are both big David Rhodes fans . Anyway, she posted lots of photos of the damage and jones beach was one of them... Sadly enough. Again, I hope it can be restored. As for the fan contributions, again, I am really sorry that they didn't use them, but again, who knows? We all know that pg has lots of ideas combined with lots of distractions, so it still might be a possibility. I hope so for everyone's sake. It's true I didn't contribute anything, but I did gather my so stuff, but just didn't have time nor the creativity to come up with something at the time, I remember it was over the Christmas holidays. Hopefully your hard work won't be for naught

It's Here It's Here!!! Yay!! Can't wait to listen!! (thanks Pat, my So contribution wasn't difficult or time consuming and is truly inconsequential. I only brought it up cuz i have no funds to buy the box set and was curious, that's all)

Because I was without power for several days and then busy taking care of family members that came to stay with me, then the election coverage was mostly on TV once my power was restored, I wasnt able to dedicate time to the aftermath of Sandy. I am just about caught up now, and I have seen the photos of JB. It's flooded; but it doesn't look all that bad. I am sure in time, they will restore it. Destruction at the shorelines is pretty much expected, but the photos that shook me up most were; The Battery Tunnel in Manhattan and the Roller Coaster in Seaside Heights, NJ. The stories of loss of lives and property I read/saw break my heart. Okay, back on track and let's hear all about the Encore series deliveries!!

Lore, OK, sometimes simple does elude me. Pat, have only used Amazon infrequently. Not that they aren't good and they certainly are great for my business, but I still like to get touchy feely with most things before I buy them. I bought my last camera from the store that actually had it for me to play with. They even put a SD card in it. OK, that was right before the Scratch My Back concert in New York and made me almost late for the soundcheck, or perhaps more, unshowered (Wonder how that may have changed first impressions?) before the soundcheck. Just glad I met someone who directed me to PATH from the campground, that is what really got me there on time. Just wish I had arrived a little less frazzled or I may have had the sense to talk to one of the head (perhaps the head) WITNESS guys a bit more waiting to get in. (where was my head at that moment? ) As for online shopping, some things look great online, but in person not-so-much. OK, and I do like the occasional human interaction of shopping.

OM MY GOD!!! The Encore recording is magnificent, brilliant, perfect!! The sound quality phenomenal, the audience engaged, Peter and band are so tight, the girls on backup, Jennie and Linnea are the perfect vocal accompaniment, the music of SO has never sounded better!! Family and The Fishing Net, magic! When I saw the Red Rocks show live, I thought the show was perfect and upon listening to the recording, my impressions, affirmed!! PERFECT!!

Lori -- I guess the cd is pretty good, yea? I'm happy for you and glad to know that you're having such joy in re-living the moment. Mine have yet to arrive -- Hollywood Bowl will be coming from Real World Limited, so I haven't a clue when that will arrive and as for Philly and VA -- hoping they're in today's mail -- at least one of them, anyway! I've heard from Laura that she received Philly, but not VA and I would have thought they were shipped together because they've all been shipped out at the same time. As much as I am anxious for the Philly show because it was so spectacular, the VA really rocked! and for a few of us there, it has a very special meaning -- our old friend, Shock (the monkey), made a special appearance and even got an introduction by the man himself, had a little spot on which he sat through the song -- it was a very kind and gracious gesture by PG and brought a smile to many faces that night. We're all still waiting to hear what PG said when he introduced the song because none of us heard it all the same . (But Shock represented all the lunies and PG acknowledged us all that night). For Zen -- I'm like you in that I need to do the actual shopping hands-on and don't do much in the way of online shopping at all, but for a cd, well, I don't really need to know what they feel like, so I'm okay with that. As for you and the camera -- well, that's absolutely understandable and it's nice to know that they allowed you to play with it a bit . . . sorta like a test drive on a new car. In any case, as Lori mentioned, you can simply order it and then be done with music.com. They actually do a lot of great shows, so I don't mind getting an e-mail from them every now and then so I can keep up with what's out there. Hope you get your cd and know that you'll enjoy it! I'm still enjoying my SO package very much and then once I'm finished with it, it'll be packed and stored away for safe keeping -- until I can find a way to keep that beautiful white box so crisp and clean, I don't want to leave it just anywhere. It'll definitely find a space in the Box of PG! Thanks for the review Lori!

I just got the Encore series CD for Fairfax in the mail today! Haven't listened yet....can't wait!
Zenrider 11 November 2012 at 12:08am Posts: 3545 (0 today) Status: offline
Hmmm, I'm not sure, are you saying you liked the CD Lore? Just want to be sure. Of course, that means I need to find my credit card and order a set, just trying to make up my mind whether I should just get the Chicago show, or one or two others, for different songs offered at those locations. Decisions, decisions, decisions.

Hi all, I have received all the cds I had ordered (PA, VA, LA -- or PAVALA! ). One came yesterday (Tuesday), while the others came today. I will give them a listen when I have the time to sit and enjoy them. For now, I'm happy to have gotten them and can officially say that I have one or two Christmas gifts bought for my family Kind regards,
