Pat, I would buy the box in a heartbeat if it was either chocolate *or* vanillia (I am an epicurean and really like both). But you are right: It is up to each of us if he/she is going to buy it. It is not that PG or Dickie Chappell is going to twist our arms.
Caste: What Promo copy? Hello, I want a promo copy, too! All I get are bills and promo *flyers* for crying out!
Indeed it was - but there's no artwork, no book, no box: way less expensive to make I think.
Plus the guys who sold them to us got them for free: whatever price they were asking for it, it was all extra money for them, So...
Uhm, that's a press kit and is encoded to the individual broadcaster or publisher that ordered it at EMI. It is pretty risky to sell those on Ebay because if Caste commits a copyright infringement, the broadcaster would get the blame. At least this is what record labels say they can do.
I believe that the owners of those press kits wait to sell them until the official release is on the market: once it is publicly available, it would be pointless to use the encoded promo copies to commit acts of piracy...

I got mine last weekend and love it - of course!
The one uncertainty is the Bowers and Wilkins FLAC downloads - the 12" downloads sound flakey and as I currently don't own a turntable I don't know if it is a reflection of the vinyl material (which I doubt!) or a problem with the download - emailed them a few days ago but no response yet.
Anyone else had issues with the 12" FLACs?
