Hurricane Sandy that is. For those with power or evacuated to places with power, how are those effected by the hurricane doing? Haven't heard from Matt in ages, would be nice if he'd pop in and tell us he is OK as well. Wish someone had sent me this important map earlier, it may have helped with preparations for the hurricane. http://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn1/644157_527939663901151_630447406_n.jpg

Haven't been on for awhile, but everytime I see the news about Sandy I think about Karen (Moonstorm). Has she been on? I hope she's OK.

How are you?

Glad to report that I am OK. No flooding and very little damage to my home. No power for about 25 hours and then on/off for the next day. Just got internet back a few days ago. Lots of friends still with no power (some staying with us), some with extensive flooding, and a few who lost everything.

Glad you were 8th, and hope that your friends' life will go back to normal soon. I know that Mak posted a video on YT few days ago, so she seems OK and here is a message posted on TLevin 's page who is actually touring in Europe: Oct 31, Munster Our thoughts and concern are with the folk hit hard by the hurricane - a funny feeling being here in Europe and only reading about it on the web.

Hi Big!! ~ here I am. xoxo thank you so much for reaching out and asking about me. You're a sweet potayyta. all is well, but having a freak snowstorn here now with high winds, it's like a leftover sandwich of Sandy. I was without power for 4 days, no major damage, other than one tree on the property falling into the street. No flying cows, but I did see a burn barrel go by my window when I was looking out it at that moment. I made a claim with my insurance company for the perishables, and they are cutting me a check as of yesterday. hi everyone (waving hello)

Hi Jen, Hi Big, Glad you are OK, even without power 8thPlanet. Hope you have power again soon. Best wishes to your friends that lost things, but as long as they are OK, they really haven't lost everything. Yeah, easier to say on this end. MAK, of course MAK, glad to hear she is OK, thanks LR. Moon, very glad you didn't see any flying cows. Good on you insurance company for paying for your perishables.

Hi Moonie, Jen, Zen, and everyone! So relieved to hear you and others are O.K., Moonie. My prayers go out to all of you every day. My nephew is in Manhatten but didn't have too hard of a time. My sister and brother-in-law were supposed to fly out there yesterday from Moscow, Idaho, to watch one of his plays, but had to wait until today. Things are going better, thanks Jen. Of course your prayers worked like a charm. Thanks so much!

Hello Lunies... Thanks so much for thinking of moi...love you all! We're all ok! Glad to hear fellow Lunies are all ok as well. Posted this message on FB...thought I'd share here as well...only difference...typos corrected here...... Sorry I've been so out of touch. Was without power for 6 days during "Sandy" and have had lots of catching up to do with work and life in general. The Tri-state area was devasted by this storm and my heart goes out to those who reside in coastal NJ, NY and CT as they are still dealing with the aftermath of this storm big time. I live approx 20 miles inland. Many coastal still have no power, heat, running water, etc. And worst of all many have lost their loved ones and homes. Was so out of touch for 6 days...had no clue what was going on with the storm aftermath as all communications were simply non-existant...cell phone service was minimal and land-line phones were down for the count. When power was finally restored had to hit the ground running...work, etc. When I had time to actually read the news what I found and saw was heart-breaking. Have lived in CT all of my life and have never experienced so many natural disasters so close together beginning with Hurricane Irene back in August, 2011. Then there was the freak snow storm in October, 2011 that brought much of the Northeast to a standstill for a week or more with power outages widespread and some deaths, unfortunately. And then...almost a year to the date of the last Oct storm..the wrath of "Sandy". Hope all fellow Lunies have weathered this storm with a positive outcome. My heart goes out to the families tragically affected by this storm...bless them all. The Mak household was still in the dark during this benefit concert. Kudos to all who performed and contributed stellar, heart-felt performances. Watched this for the first time two nights ago...was in tears during most of it. Please do whatever you can to help...Mak Benefit Concert - Hurricane Sandy Coming Together 2012 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iHeUinjb0QY

The loss from this storm is horrific and even though it's not featured in the news much anymore; there are still people who are trying to pick up the pieces of their broken lives, many still without homes, etc.... I wanted to let you all know that tonight Live from MSG, there is a concert featuring many top notch artists and it will be featured tonight on several cable channels .. The concert starts at 7:30 eastern time. Happy 12/12/12!!! Enjoy!!
