Looking forward to it big time! I just hope the weather improves and the sun joins the party. However, come rain or shine, we will have a fantastic weekend.
Thanks for the link, Cimber.
28 to go?

Ah - good to see the familiar WOMAD faces I'm thinking about investing in a new waterproof and that way it won't rain but yes I agree Mallet - it doesn't really matter. It has been raining sand here in Cornwall as well as the usual wet stuff!
Thanks for link Cimber - you'll have to come one year, strikes me you know how to celebrate.
Wookie - Still nor sure if Jane's coming but it looks as if might be a family thing if she does. At least one little girl is getting herself togged up for WOMAD with rucksack etc. If she comes she'll be dancing next to me and making me feel about 100
Off to do little dance of excitement now and thinking about leaving my cares behind for a few days.

I'm doing my first WOMAD count down too! Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

Yeah, I'm nearly in holiday mood already. Don't know much about the way yet, but I will be there with my early bird ticket somehow.
Don't be so shure to leave your cares behind, Duddy. You know , a lot I have to eat and dance. But perhaps this time PG will care himself for his belongs (joke!) and you are free (he can serve us a good meal, that would be fair-trade!)
Wonder, if Mallett now will talk.

As it gets really near I don't sleep much at all. Traditional NOT sleeping then! Have you worked out who you want to see Ela or are you leaving it all to chance? I usually plan it all and then it tends to go to pot when I get there. Rise - you definitely need a funny hat this time to shelter you from all the sun.
Haven't heard from Desert Traveller - hope he can manage to come.

DT told me that he will be there.
Only
26 sleeps to go.

Duddy-I'm too much of a planner to leave it all to chance. I will plan away, still working on the list..., but in the end I may alter the plans once I'm there. I've been traveling since Tuesday, in fact I'm still traveling right now, so I haven't spent much time on the computer. We'll soon be at our destination, a log cabin at a quiet lake in Maine. See you soon!

'Wonder, if Mallett now will talk.'
Rise - What's this?? I am notoriously bad at recognising people so if I have blanked you then sorry!! Or have I misunderstood this??
DT has purchased a ticket!!
24 sleeps to go
Is anyone actually completely ready yet?

Getting excited here in Brighton too. Thanks for directing me to the You Tube playlist, which I am now enjoying.
Just a quick question to you all: You are enjoying some fantastic music/cooking/workshop at whatever stage and become aware of Peter Gabriel standing a few feet to your left, enjoying the same show. What, if anything, do you say/do?
See you all there Thursday morning.

Sculduggery - I'd leave him in peace to enjoy it!
rise2 July 2012 at 5:11pmPosts: 956 (0 today)Status: offline
Mallett, of course I'm kidding, I just remembered the 'Black Swan' and my try to talk ,but as I did not understand much, it was good of the insiders just to make jokes about the flowers, which I took home again after the show.
I would throw my left or right eye on him, Sculduggery, but of course ,because I'm a lady, I would stay at my place, I believe.-Very indiscret question, btw!

@Scullduggery
This did happen to Mrs Wookie and in 2009.
We turned round during Yousou's excellent set to see PG and Melanie (I think?) watching just to the side of where we were standing.
We, and everybody else, just left him to it.
(BTW you can tell how good Youssou is as it was pissing down with rain and i'm sure PG could have found a dry vantage point backstage but he chose to watch from the crowd with everyone else.)

Wow, cool story MW, thanks. I too would leave him to enjoy himself in peace, though I might want very much to say hello.
Rise, how so an indiscreet question? Hope not taken wrong way?
