I know a lot of folks are bummed out over the slim-to-none chance of a Genesis reunion. But I thought to myself - it might be cool to see just a PG/Phil Collins pair up - just them doin all their own solo stuff together. What'dya think?

It would be nice, but unfortunately Phil can't drum anymore.

I had a dream 2 weeks ago that Pete knocked on my door and i just said Oh Pete come in and he said "hows it goin" and we chatted like mates and I pulled out my 12 string guitar and then i stopped and said give Steve a ring and the next minute Steve H came in with his guitar and we made this fantastic track and it was on my old cassette tape recorder, Pete was on my sons keyboard and made some brilliant sounds come out of it. then they had to go because it was tea time but i had this recording on tape and didn't know what to do with it. surreal. Sorry Phil wasn't in it.

Ah yes - Phil's hand prevents him from drumming any longer. I wonder which songs they would choose to do together if they could.

Any time that I read about Phil's problems, I am so saddened by it because of all that it has changed in his life. I think that he does handle it very honorably, even if he has his moments of despair (which I'm sure he must have every now and then).
Phil Collins is an excellent musician and performer and I have never cared about what anyone else thinks of him or any other member of Genesis -- they are all very talented people, in their own rite and I'm grateful to have lived during a time when they performed -- together and without Peter Gabriel.
Although my interest is definitely more along the style of PG, I have still continued to follow the musical careers of the other members of Genesis (albeit with not nearly as much enthusiasm).
I am also that one person who will always be hopeful for some sort of reunion of them all -- even if only for a one-time gig for a huge benefit and even if I couldn't attend (well, I can say that part now with the idea that it probably wouldn't happen, but if anything ever did get seriously planned, I'm sure I'd be beside myself with worry as to how I'd get to the show).
Back to Phil -- I do hope that he can someday have better use of his hands, even if it's only to allow him to do the important things in his life -- which is not necessarily drumming, but more like being able to use his hands in his "activities of daily living (ADLs)" as well call them in the health profession. That's all we ever really want to be able to do -- maintain our basics for as long as we can.
As for Phil and Peter gettting together -- that would be a splendid idea also and I think it would be a great project -- to have those two doing vocals together on some old stuff, individual stuff, new stuff .... hhhmmm, perhaps you're onto something there Jared -- you should make the suggestion, you never know what might come of it!
Kind regards to all,

It would be nice. . . Phil does not necessarily playing drums.
They could sing together, why not?
What?. .. .mmmhhh i do not know. . .something Genesis's time, but i am not sure Peter wants. .. . .it would be nice a modern version of "I know what i like" for example.
Or maybe "Carpet crawlers" with Orchestra.
It would be a nice gift to all world's fans. .
"It would be nice. . . Phil does not necessarily playing drums."
OK, then let him play the maracas.

Hmmm...let's use our imagination - feel free to change this however u would like:
INTRO: PG and PC take the stage together for the following numbers:
Behind the Lines
Sussudio (don't laugh)
Then: Phil Collins does his set:
Against All Odds
Dance Into the Light
Billy Don't Lose My Number
Another Day In Paradise
One More Night
I Wish It Would Rain Down
In the Air Tonight
Then: Peter does his set:
Burn You Up, Burn You Down
More Than This
Lay Your Hands On Me
Mother Of Violence
Then: Phil and Peter pair up for the finale:
Both Sides of the Story
No Son of Mine
In Your Eyes
The Carpet Crawlers
Take Me Home
Yeah, I think that would work.

Given the right charity or world awareness event or both combined with star and planet alignments, dinner schedules, moon phase, and no one catching a cold I would suppose it could happen.

Jetzt ist mir auch schon alles egal.
Pete and Phil
Pete and Steve
Pete and Genesis
Pete and Dolly Parton
Pete and Patachon
But best would be:
Pete and Me

Zen --- Absolutely!
Rise -- Aboslutely!
Jared -- Love your set list!
Now, here's my "fantasy" reunion -- PG and each member of Genesis, taking the stage for a few songs, building up to the full band -- doesn't matter what song they play, just that they're finally doing it!
The venue of course would need to be small and cozy and have a homey feel to it -- my home would be the perfect place to play! -- Now, that's a fantasy!

Jared C i love that setlist! except lay your hands on me. I like that song for his old crowdsurfing stuff but i often consider it the worst song in his main catalogue (aside from maybe some odd instrumentals and long walk home stuff) although i've grown a little more fond of it. However, i'd still replace it with, say, wallflower, even though that got a lot of new blood attention. And you need more than one song from their time together!
But i digress.
(COuld you imagine a medley of two of their songs... eg. "In The Darkness Tonight"

Hey Caste, the best collaboration would be Banks / Hackett
