Linton Kwesi Johnson - Bass Culture
Muzik of blood, black reared
Pain rooted, heart geared
All tensed up
In the bubble and the bounce
And the leap an' the weight drop
Is is the beat of the heart
This pulsing of blood
That is a bublin' bass
A bad bad beat
Pushin' against the wall
Whey bar black blood
An' is a whole heappa
Passion a gather
Like a frightful form
Like a righteous harm
Giving off wild like is madness
Hot out deh
Hotta than di heights of fire
Livin' heat down volcano core
Is di cultural wave a dread people deal
Spirits riled an' rise an' rail thunda-wise
Latent powa
In a form resemblin' madness
Like violence is di show
Burstin' outta slave shackle
Look ya! Boun' fi harm di wicked
next:
Got a letter from a messenger
I read it when it came
It said that you were wounded
You were bound and chained
May I speak.

An apology for the devil: it must be remembered that we have heard one side of the case. God has written all the books.

Two Wolves - A Cherokee Parable
An old Cherokee chief was teaching his grandson about life...
"A fight is going on inside me," he said to the boy.
"It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves.
"One is evil - he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, self-doubt, and ego.
"The other is good - he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.
"This same fight is going on inside you - and inside every other person, too."
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather,
"Which wolf will win?"
The old chief simply replied,
"The one you feed."

Two Bulls - A Wannabe Parable
Two bulls sitting on a hill in the pasture. One old, one young.
They're looking down on the herd of cows.
The young bull says to the old bull, "Let’s run down the hill and f*ck one of these cows."
And the old bull says to the young bull, "No, let’s walk down and f*ck 'em all."

The world is a vampire, sent to drain
secret destroyers, hold you up to the flames
and what do i get, for my pain
betrayed desires, and a piece of the game
even though i know-i suppose I'll show
all my cool and cold-like old job
despite all my rage i am still just a rat in a cage
despite all my rage i am still just a rat in a cage
then someone will say what is lost can never be saved
despite all my rage i am still just a rat in a cage

Address at Stanford University (2005)
Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

So I guess we are all up in arms over Rush Limbaugh using "Sledgehammer" when he spoke of the woman who went before congress regarding birth control. Peter vehemently denied any knowledge that his music was being used in this matter and for the people who run that fat pig's show, you do NOT have permission to use any of this music; you are not someone we would want to be associated with in any way...
Not exact words but I about died when I heard all of this...kinda surprised I don't see it here but I'm sure it's being discussed somewhere and I'm sure it's going to be included in Peter's March monthly update. the moon is almost full; I'm going to check my calendar so I know when to check in with Peter.

I just posted something about the Rush Limbaugh thing and now I can't find it; maybe it failed or something; I was just wanting to comment on the Rush Limbaugh use of Sledgehammer; can you imagine how PG felt when he learned about that? He certainly wasted no time in publishing his disdain for this man and does not wish to be associated with the fat pig in any way...well he didn't say "fat pig" but close enough...where is my other post? I've been sick for 3 days and I finally feel good enough to get up and on to this computer. Plus full moon is brewing; soon a message will appear...I'm sure we will hear more about this rush incident...go get him Mr. Gabriel...

Whenever I've changed my avatar it's taken a day at least to show the change so give that time.
If you are having problems and it's not your computer you can email info@petergabriel.com or webmaster@petergabriel.com.
Pat had a problem when she was trying to change something and it wasn't working so she deactivated her account but it would not let her re-activate in fact it would not let her even pull up this website at all. She emailed the info one and within a day she was up and running again.
I hope this helps
