Hi,
I have heard everywhere it is impossible to play on new computers. Has anyone accomplished this? I think I have an old Win 98 comp but that is slow and probably won't work...

I'm afraid the news isn't good. There was a fan who bought a Windows 95 and Xplora still didn't run. There was a thread about it in what is now the Art forums, but it probably was not archived.

Every computer I've ever had has either been too old or too new to run any of the RW CD-ROMS. I think they mostly consist of Quicktime movies, so it's a little annoying that they are so unusable.

It's a real shame. I'd love to play Eve again. Of course, I'd probably never leave the computer if I'm ever able to play Eve again. "How'd she die, officer?" "She was Peter'd to death!"

If only PG was passionate about these, he could release them on, say, Steam or Good old games (both download game services, the second specifically for old computer games to run on new computers)

If Only. . . the haunting and instantly recognisable cry of PG fans around the world. . . sometimes also heard as the shortened "I/O". Sometimes mistaken for mating squirrels.

What squirrels have you been listening to, Mr. Beef?
