Ohhlala indeed! :-] I sooooo love to swim.
Perfection is a shimmering blue pool, a Shocky Special in my hand, and "Define Dancing" playing on the hifi.
Jump in y'all! The water is great!

I have days like that too. And yes a little captain can make a difference! As for me, I just wish the dishwasher would stop so I can make another pot of coffee!

Wish I knew how to swim, but I can't. However, I would love to learn how to: it's one of those dreams I hope to come true someday.

We're teaching my daughter (4.5 years old) to swim this summer. We want to make sure she can enjoy such a fun sport! But it's never too late to learn, Mr. C!
Dana, I'm sneaky that way.

JooleyAnn - It's a relief to know so. I'm actually planning to take some swimming instructions.
Soul Reader - Indeed. Tonight looks promising!

Hey again people-sorry to keep popping in and out like I am. Life gets in the way sometimes.

Good job on the swimming, Mr C. There's no time like now. And remember, it's a natural thing. You just forgot how, that's all!

I volunteer to give the swimming lessons for any that would like to learn. Back in my Coast Guard days, I had to be a very good swimmer, lol.

Never too late to learn! I have a friend who just learned. She's in her 50's.
So, I finally watched Wall-E the other day, and I'm curious - the album on Amazon lists PG as the writer of JUST the song he sings over the end credits. IMDB implies the same.
But I read elsewhere that PG also worked on the score - - with Thomas Newman.
Anyone know which is correct? Just wondering.

My fathers method was fun ~ 'if ya cant swim, fly'.
and he would throw us out of his trusting arms into the water.
It was a fun way to learn. I have never been afaid of water, so I guess that makes it a whole lot more acceptable. Each of his 4 children were taught the same way. Even Mommy (ha, just kidding on the Mommy part) - he probably saved that trick for their bedroom!
MC where do you live that you have not had the privledge?

Jooley, I have not seen this movie, all I heard though was PG only did 'down to earth'.
Was the movie good?

Thanks for the support, folks! I'm feeling much more confident now!

It's not really a matter of location Moonstorm, at least not as much as a matter of fact that I was too lazy to learn it while I was a little boy and never had interest about learning it. Until now.
Perhaps it was the other way round: Thomas Newman collaborated with PG to compose Down To Earth, at least that's how Wikipedia brings it.

Ah. Wikipedia! I shall go there.
Wall-E was absolutely delightful. Quite possibly my favorite Pixar film to date, and I've now seen them all! Well, except Cars. (Thank God I had a girl.)
Ahhhhh, ~MWAH!~ to you, Mr. C!

Wikipedia says that PG & Thomas Newman won the Grammy for "Arrangers" of "Define Dancing." Best Instrumental Arrangement. Huzzah, Wikipedia, knower of all.

I think it's time to Teach Billy The Excellent Bird some new PG lyrics.
So far he knows :
Squak!
You got me cooking I'm a hard boiled egg Squak!
and
Squak!
Snow white pillow for my big fat head Squak!
Hey Billy can you say -Backslap, boobytrap,
Cover it up in bubblewrap,
Squak! Backslap, boobytrap,
Cover it up in bubblewrap,Squak!
Good bird
