I email, and blog, and I mircoblog. But, fer instance, "chatting" annoys the heck out of me so I turn it off in all the various web apps (e.g. Facebook, Google+). I'm a strange combination of geek & Luddite. I know my way around HTML & fundamental programming, but I don't care to have technology invade & run my life.
