Didn't enter, have my tickets and don't have much luck in give-aways like this, so didn't enter.
Congrats to those that won.

BTW, it is possible fans that don't grace us with their presence here may have won. Terrible as that thought may be.

Do we know if it was in fact announced? I wish they'd say who won. It leaves you wondering.

I've had an anonymous friend state they received an email claiming to be from RW that he had won. However, he doesn't know if it is a hoax email or not. Hoax emails claiming to be from RW have happened in the past.
Please, RW, post an official list of winners.

Who knows for sure! That's why they should say who won.

Real World never specified if it was one pair of tickerts FOR THE OUR or one pair of tickets PER GIG. There have many fans who've asked and never received a reply. My hypothesis is that RW would not commit to a specif number of free tickets until they knew how well the tour was selling.

I'm so happy to know that there was one pair of fans selected for each venue - I think that's the best way to have handled it. However, has anyone noticed? There are two places with no winners listed - Saratoga Springs, NY and Wisconsin - wonder why? Hhhhmmm, perhaps there's still a chance for me (in Saratoga Springs, NY).

I hope so.let's see if there are any horses running with the name Indefatigable One. Could be an omen. Also a lot of syllables to push out when down the stretch they come.
Winners should have received an email from the venue. Check your spam / trash settings and read the sender information carefully.it is clearly marked DO NOT DELETE.
Made my fingers all twitchy tonight just seeing it. The keyboard suddenly felt like a Ouiji Board. But I managed to successfully perform the requisite maneuvers to place it in the in inbox.
Best wishes to everyone going to the shows. Let's remember that these opportunities to hear music of such sincerity and passion are surpassingly rare.

I think it's really funny (in an odd sorta way) that the winners of the VIP Package contest have been announced here on the moon, yet the contest, itself was only offered on facebook. There is no announcement of the winners on facebook (at least not from what I can see).
In any case, we know it's for "real" and I'm happy for all the winners! :-]
I agree with you James - these moments of such great music are very rare indeed - I'm happy to be part of them when I can! :-]

James, maybe you won the Red Rocks tickets because they remembered your name from the C. G. Jung book you sent PG for his birthday. You bribed PG! :-]

Hope it was great for y'all at Red Rocks! :-]

No winner for the Milwaukee show? I'll volunteer. I really want to see the sound check. Looking forward to the show.

Ah, yes, Soil - just like payola works for PG to get all of that radio airplay. I have no idea how they selected winners or who did the selections, but I certainly did not want to look that gift horse in the mouth.
The VIP package was fantastic. While the 80 or so who were there may have anticipated a meeting with PG himself, it sounds like Peter had had a long night and needed rest for the show (since that was the purpose for his stop along the way). We had great seats-4th row seats 55 and 56 right in front of his area on the stage. We were given a beautiful laminate tour pass and a rugged denim satchel commemorating the New Blood tour-very nice. After the sound check (which is a composer's dream come true to hear Ben Foster work with the orchestra to realize the full drama of Peter's music. . . just great. . . our supping was ready with a great spread of appetizers (jumbo shrimp, rolled quesadillas, fresh veggies, fresh fruit kabobs, two free drinks from the bar) - I think they took rather good care of us, truth be told.
And then the show. . . Peter's rest served him well as he delivered one of the strongest vocal performances I have ever heard from him - and I haven't missed a PG tour since The Lamb. Sure he may not let out those kinds of screams that are real larnyx shredders as in Back in NYC, but he knows his instrument and what an impressive instrument it is.
A great night with great (or is it greg?) friends. . . pictures will be forthcoming within a week or so. I'm sure there will be plenty to see in the weeks ahead as all of the famulunies chronicle their continuing adventures with PG.

James,
I'm so happy to read that you had a great time!!! I'm happy to know that at least ONE person that I know from these forums won the VIP package. I'm assuming that, just like all of the other "win tickets" contests held, it was done by "random selection" and I'm very, very pleased to know that you were randomly selected!!!
I'm getting excited for my upcoming shows and I'm trying not to hope for anything special, but will be quite pleasantly surprised if it happens!
Glad to know you've touched down safely and we'll definitely have to get together some time in July to catch up and share our PG-experiences!
