i know that their are alot of U2 haters. . .for whatever reason i don't know. . . but these performances are part of the reason that i have been more than a fan since 1980. . . bono, the edge, larry and adam. . . are there any bands out there that can connect with an audience and draw the best out of them like them? i haven't seen many. . . a slight few. they represent a dying breed. . . the rock band is dead. . . long live the rock band.

The best concert I ever saw the U2, the Joshua Tree tour, my daughter was only 6 years old, and fell asleep during the concert
She loved the movie La Bamba and was more excited to see Los Lobos, the supporting act.to this day she denies that she fell asleep
Funny the worst concert I ever went to was a U2 concert, I forget what the tour was called, but they had gone all glitzy and Vegas-like, and came out in a big lemon shaped metal craft, it came out of the sky, sort of and the band was inside.
People stood the whole time, and I couldn't see the stage, I wasn't in any shape to stand for the whole thing.so I ended up watching them on the large screen.I was not a happy camper
My rock station is going to have a contest to see U2 (they are coming to Vancouver in October) so I will try to win tickets.

They certainly make a fantastic rock band IMHO. They performed one of the best concerts I have ever been too, in the Estadio Azteca, In Mexico City. We must have been about 80-85 thousand people and it was just astonishing to listen to City of Blinding Lights, Elevation or Sunday Bloody Sunday with such a choir. . . and the cell phone part. . . Holy, "what a show".
Still, I got myself the latest cd, and didn´t find it as catchy as the others. Maybe I got to give it another listen, but. . .
Ezri. I guess you´re talking about the Pop Mart Tour. A complete crap, after the Zoo Tv Tour which, incidentally, became a parameter for Peter when doing the Secret World Tour.

I'm also a U2 fan since they were pups, never seen them live though. (Got to put that one right soon!!)
Love the new single but have'nt got the album yet (another thing to put right!)
A work colleague can't stand them and claims they gave funds to a certain terrorist organisation in Ireland!!?
The same person also believes Mandela was a terrorist!!?
Yes . . . . I was gobsmacked when I heard this.
I believe both of the aforementioned are currently doing their utmost for peace, and working for the future. Pushing for people to never make the mistakes that were made in the past.
Keep on rockin U2.
Just watched a band called The Wrecking doing a cover of Get On Your Boots. This was off the first Youtube link given, pretty darn good too!
Peace.
