Went to a Blues Jam at a local spot. It was interesting and mostly pretty good. Some of the locals that showed up and played and/or sang were surprisingly good. The problem is, this spot doesn't let anyone know until the last minute that they are doing anything. The main group was really good, promise they'll be back. They played there during their Sunday Blues Fest during Catfish Days, so if nothing else, they may be back then. They may be doing another jam night this Friday, though more of a rock, perhaps acoustic set? Might stop on the way home and check it out, if I'm not too exhausted. Wish I could play an instrument, but it's fun to watch and listen too. So, that's about the only concerts I have plans for at the present. If this counts.

Going to see the musical FELA! about Fela Kuti! Really looking forward to it! It's at the Arsht Theater in Miami.

Cool Ela! Why is it I find out about these things after they've been by? Let us know how it was. Hope it sucked, because then I won't feel so bad for missing it. Seriously, hope it was great! Guess I'm stuck with bi-weekly jam nights in town. At least the beer is cheap. Actually, they've been kind of fun so far. Wish I could play something.
