Forums » Peter Gabriel » Youtube error?

Synnie 3 May 2008 at 2:45pm Posts: 4169 (0 today) Status: offline
Nothing works anymore, not even the site itself, it is unreachable, when I try to find it. no youtube-video pics on google either any more. Does anyone else have the same problem right now? Also forums and some streams are severely affected, ALL pages are gone blank in youtube matters. It cannot be just me, because everything else works fine, also other video providers. It happened just lately and maybe it won't last long, but since I have not seen any news about this either, I am wondering, if anyone else recognises this. Any information welcome! =

You're right, server can't be found. They must be going through some sort of upgrade or something. It's amazing how connected we are to our computers. What would happen to peoples psyche if sites such as Myspace/Facebook went down? Or if the internet just went completely dark? We as society would feel like we were living in the dark ages! We would be lost!! And it could very well happen by the powers that run the world. Well I am certain that YOUTUBE will be back! We are not in the second/third round of the dark ages, not quite yet!

At least on myspace it was all back a few minutes ago, I have not checked the link to youtube though, but got confirmations about the same error from Italy etc., hehe. Well, one should definitely copy and print at least the phones and adresses of some friends, in case. . .if not more. As for Berlin, I made even more friends via internet and have phone-/fax-numbers too (also from outside Berlin, of course). Having been a traveller for long, I can adapt to new circumstances quite easily, any which way. We lived without it long enough, no problem for me. Having like not having, as some say. . . My psyche would get no scratches from your mentioned change. I would wish you all well in my mind and use whats still there. And thats still quiet a lot, also within my Synnie-circles in Germany. I will still be busy and happy thus. But it has to be considered, indeed. Very good point, Lore! Have a nice weekend!

teehee. my comments were really just a general observation about what a small world we have become through the internet. i know many of deep thought and active artists, such as Bettina here who would be just fine without the computer. myself too. i would be just fine. i know my neighbors, my friends. my virtual friends are beautiful but when it comes down to the bottom line, who will be standing side by side with me, holding hands, holding each other to help ease the fear of darkness? and Glo is right too, people would be forced to find their own diamond in their pocket and that would probably be a very good thing!! anyway, things could very well stay connected. as ever. forever! or not. I would like to say though that if we do indeed go dark, even if it is just here, know how much this particular place has meant to me and i will always be grateful and thankful and sending you all light and love and perhaps in the evolution of life we will meet again, in person next time around. Have an extra great weekend all! :-]

Good one, in general! Although we have our chinese issues herabout and are under continuous attack, because we are mostly friends of the DL. . . Anyhow, the interrruption of the services from some was only just for agout one hour, but can and does repeat anywhere, anyhow. Thus, any forsighted actions may be advisable, in general. Some things are just under constructions, but you never know, if. And its good to be reminded on this. :-]
