'Cause I follow my toes, and the dried up rose petals.
Like the man says, "Sure hope Moses knows his roses."
-remembering the first show at Charterhouse, where Peter an Richard MacPhail raided all the local gardens of their rose petals, which they stuffed in to a large pillowcase so Peter could run back and forth onstage throwing them over the crowd.

Heston was also the biggest supporter of Martin Luther King, and openly marched with King and others in DC and anywhere he could, to help promote civil rights in the 1960's, when many in Hollywood kept their mouths shut out of fear of damaging their worthless careers.
I miss the big lug. I will have to watch "The Big Country" with my daughter tonight.
I am neither for nor against guns. Don't own or want one, and doubt I ever will. I carried a weapon when I served in the armed forces, but never had an interest in them afterward. With that said, all I have to say, as far as gun control goes, is that every democratic nation and city that has implemented gun control almost immidiately saw a significant rise in violent crime. and that is across the board. Why? According to a Harvard study, criminals rarely use legally purchased weapons, and breaking one more law, like a gun law, means little to them. I mean, a dozen laws were broken by the murderous kids at Columbine. I am not sure what difference the making of new laws will make for any copy cat killers.
Interesting statistics I have read. More people are killed with cars than with guns. Some on purpose. I find it odd there are no anti-car activists. Also, more people die of cardiac arrest than from anything else, ever. I wonder why we don't see more anti-heart attack activists. Maybe they died of heart attacks.
I recall an episode of All in the Family, when Archie Bunker is talking with his daughter, who is going on and on about a guy being murdered with a gun, and she is focusing on the gun and not the act of the murder. Archie replied "Would it make you feel any better if they'd used a knife?"
Irony is so ironic.
