Oh silly - "the Beast" is nothing less than a metaphor for the Band. Fripp uses this reference on many occasions - about a driver that he and band were being shuttled around during a tour - he uses it to describe the current drummer Pat Mastelotto and finally from the Vicar's diary:

I have not seen Tony in couple of years now - Seen Fripp in December and Belew in March so I am excited to see Mr. T Baldy and his amazing Stick - ok no jokes about the Stick
