Well, I finally found the voices I was looking for. . . The tenores Bitti/Sardenia, please : homepage in english, good for basic informations: http://www.tenoresdibitti.com/homeengl.htm then I would recommend the audio/video page, a bit further down I very much recommend the songs piece by oiece, to give you an idea of the spectacular unique voice tradition around Peter's sardinian residence(): http://www.tenoresdibitti.com/esempiengl.htm enjoy! (no, I don't mind their beliefs at all, as long as they sing, hehe in case anyone wonders about the pope relation. Remember, I still love to sing the oratorien etc.)

Yes, Bitti is on Sardinia! http://maps.google.de/maps?q=Bitti+(Sardegna),+Italia&sa=X&oi=map&ct=title And read the intro for the tenores, traditional singing-techniques.

Yes, but "Sardic"? :-] Nevermind, I know them and like them, must have three or four albums. They often sing "hymns" and religiuos stuff ("Anghelos Cantade" and others). They could as well sing about Satan or prodi or the beauty of Abacab, it would not matter because they are wonderful. Thanks for the links

The word Sardic was used for From sardenia in some places and I knew it from there, is that a mistake ? If so, please corect me. Because they clearly grew up with local musical also profane, tradition, as they say themselves, plus they are from there. I only saw a few films about local stuff with them so far, but am very impressed indeed, also about the other things now. Congrats to your library!

My pleasure from singer's point of view. And its nice to know, that Peter's other residence is close to that musical culture. . .so he probably knows about this. Would be an interesting question to ask at least.
