Jared: That FB hacking thing happened to me, too. Unfortunately, it seems to be one of the unavoidable hazards of Facebook.

My Soul Has Thirst Running on empty my soul has thirst I am her man she is the first I saw her from a distant shore Separated by the dogs of war Smiling she beckoned me Dancing under a willow tree Blood red heart in golden cup She was thirsty I was hot Her thirst was quenched My blood ran cold My soul was wrenched I grew so old - so ancient and old She caught my eye I caught her soul The Master played sweet rock 'n' roll We went to bed I woke a'flame Tangled passions to tough to tame Her tears washed away all of my pain She loves to dance I love to flirt No more pain no more hurt Our souls have merged The world shines bright She takes me soaring through the night Love is pure Love is strong I'm going home where I belong My desire runs deep within her sleep I am numb, but still I come Oh lonely lust of devildom My heart beats like a Tommy gun She has me wrapped around her thumb She is my heart I am her soul She's every facet of my rock 'n' roll cmm June 13/91 written from a man's point of view

MAYBE ELSEWHERE Get inside the family car When the bell tells of a small spread Halfway around the world, Yet back here at your door. It's almost uncanny, the trip That you make when you are awake inside, The ring reminds you of the sounds of pastoral brooks, The icy wind and the weapons of Springtime. Take your excursions now, While you are young enough to live, While you are old enough to give back, When you are alive enough, to have it all.

Okay, I've just read the several threads here from the past week or so and there is one single thing that I would like to clarify (For Jadzia). It's trivial, really, but I would like some clarification on it, so here's what I'd like to clairfy: You (Jadzia) said: "... I've been posting here longer that a lot of you, over 15 years, Pat is most like the longest poster ..." I'd like to correct that because although I've been a fan of PG throughout his entire career (and I know that's a lot of years ), I did not have or use internet access until @ 2000-2001 and PG had a site but I began posting on the original forums just before UP -- 2000-2001 -- I'm sure there is someone out there who would have a better memory than me and I remember posting, along with several other lunies, most of which have gone from here now. I just wanted to correct that statement because I didn't want credit for something I didn't do -- 15 years ago, I was still corresponding by snail mail -- which, for me, is still my favorite mode some times.

Yeah, just guessing how long I've been posting here, but I know there are many others who have been posting years more than me. Just assumed you were here before me, Pat, sorry if I was mistaken. Anyone remember the band The Hooters? Their manager is Steve Mountain (no relation) they had a few hits in the 80's All you Zombies, Johnny B. etc. Surprised to find The Hooters are back together and Steve is still their manager. On a lark I emailed him about the name "Mountain" my ex'es, his his dad was from Yorkshire. Anywho Steve emailed me, found out the Cindy Mountain in the liner notes of one of the Hooters albums is his wife. I screwed up the courage, asked him about lyric writing and sent him "Salish Seas" got a reply "looks promising but a little wordy" lol he said he'd look at it closer when he has the time. I'm not going to get hopeful about it, cause I've been down that road before.

Hi Again, J. -- Yeah, I figured you were guessing about the number of years and I'm certainly so bad at remembering years -- it all goes by quickly, but all I know is that I do not think PG had a forum up and running 15 years ago. I was, in fact, one of the first people on the forum, along with several others, but I don't believe it was 15 years ago. (I guess this is where Tina and her archives would be very useful ). As for the Hooters -- well, because of the Hooters being a local Philly (West Philly/University City/suburbs) band, I not only remember them, but I know them and have various connections with them through different sources. I remember their manager (Steve Mountain is one, Jim Mascara is the other -- he is the person I knew a few years back). The Hooters have always been a fun band and even though they faded out in the local area, they remained very popular in other countries. They are all really down-to-earth people and I miss seeing them play live. Good luck with having your work looked at and published. BTW-- The Hooters played at an Amnesty International Concert (I believe) and PG was on the bill, as well. I remember afterwards, Eric Bazilian (Hooters) was interviewed about the concert and he said that one of his highlights was to have PG tell him and the band (Hooters) that he really liked their performance and music. (This is all coming from the archives of my brain, so some of it might be a bit dusty, but you get the gist of it).

The first PG forum hosted by a Real World website was a Peter Gabriel messaging board back in 1997 or 1998. It was taken down after a few months. Petergabriel.com and the next forum didn't go up until Up's release. Real World's first foray into the Internet was a website called Radio Real World, but it was gone by 1998. I do not know if that had a chat/message board/forum.

What the Hell! Lair of the Spider King Come into my parlour said the spider to the fly Walked in eyes wide open and wondered why He is the master of the grand deception and lies Not fair not fair when I found myself in the Spider-King's lair not fair, not fair trouble coming from over seas No one to save except for the birds and the bees Walked right in Look at that spider's grin Come into my parlour He did so sweetly sing and there he was the elder of elder's the Spider King can't hide or run no more no more is it war? A just war? No more! Maybe a simple tale of ancient lore I wonder what it's for, what is it for I'm such a tiresome bore oh lord must be out of my gourd or out of my comfort zone or did I stray into the Twilight Zone Don't know, don't care anymore more any more just don't care cannot condone condone Hear the sounds of a sweet little piggy Guitar playing man and little Miss Piggy The we meet and oh my stars my stars It's Ziggy The Ziggy but where are the Spider's from Mars? Where did they go, the Spiders from Mars Over here or over there over there? Ah who cares - who cares - who cares cmm Feb. 19/12 still need loads of work

Without the Rain I would not Reign Without the Pain I would not Gain I must become a solid form From this incarnation I will be Born I now evolve from warm to cold and get my form that will unfold From darkening Skies and fluffy clouds I will descend onto the crowds But if the winds of change do not flow I may never get to be, pure white Snow
