When my children were young I enjoyed listening to a lot of Peter Gabriel. His music really inspired me as I moved around, trying to make it as a single mom. It was comforting to have that music while on a great adventure with my children. Now they are off on their own and I am trying to reach out to other artists. I am shy but want to be creative with others, getting ideas and inspiration from other artists.

I just sent you a friend request (C. Mountain) just so I can see more of those great drawings - upload more - A drawing of Sting? You know you will have to add a drawing or two of Mr. G

Here's a little song I wrote called Vessel of Souls. I have taught myself how to write the melody and chords.
In my dreams ride naked horsemen
Coursing thru the veins of time
Riders from Ossetian legend
Cross Sarmatian Steppes they climb
Ancient warriors tell a story
Of a Cauldron, black as coal
And they take me on a journey
To seek the Vessel of Souls
Through the shifting sands of visions
To the land beyond the Tsars
I ride on thru distant regions
To rest on a bed of stars
In the valley of remembrance
There's a legend I am told
Of a sacrificial penance
To the Vessel of Souls
Throw my sword into the ocean
And the waters turn to red
Give my body to the cauldron
To the Vessel I am fed
By the wind and sword I promise
To have settled my last score
To the ocean's restless mistress
I return the sword of war
Rise above the drifting sand
There must be no more divisions
In between the tribes of man
Ancient warriors come to claim us
To exact their mortal toll
For it is their goal to feed us
To the Vessel of Souls

Wonderful, Goldberry! And indeed a pleasure to meet you!
But can you post this in the "Words That Fall From Your Sky" thread, too??
That's where everyone goes to enjoy all of the creativeness in tomes / poems and verse!
