I have ordered, and received, through Amazon.co.uk the So 25th anniversary deluxe edition box set ...
However, in the box, the book that houses the CDs and DVD did not have the CDs or DVDs in the slots at all. They were loose in the pages of the book! (although the book was sealed in the plastic)
The item was new and sealed, but somehow either the CDs 'escaped' or were not housed correctly. Unfortunately they appear to visibly have suffered from rubbing against one another (So, So DNA, Athens CD1 and Classic Album DVD appear to have visible blemishes (with 'bits' stuck on them which will almost certainly render them less reliable - I have played the So CD on my CD player, which played ... but I do not know how much error correction the CD player was relying on)
I'm disappointed that the discs appear to be potentially damaged in this way through them not being housed properly... what should I do about it? (I have not yet used code for downloads yet)

That's a shame.
Contact Amazon via the email address on the site. They are really good in my experience and will replace it without question. They usually despatch a new one immediately and pay for the postage back for the old one.
Good luck!

How annoying...
Amazon are claiming they can't replace it (some fluff about my address) - and have just offered to refund me all my money, so I can buy it again... but I bought it during their £65 Black Friday sale. (So this wouldn't be enough to buy it again! Grrr!).
Also I *didn't* purchase it when I had offer of reduced price with my PG ticket order, cos I'd just got it from Amazon!
I feel a bit bummed here. Moan Moan.

Just follow the link from the live page through to see tickets and you seem to be able to buy a boxset for 65 with no ticket.
I put in my basket and then could check out but I'm in the not buying this set camp so cannot confirm it doesn't come up with an error after that but it's worth a go if you want it.

Hello unglifruit,
Actually I have the same problem regarding that stuff being stuck onto the discs.
I bought the box here at this page.
I believe that this is just bad luck, although I read that there are more people with the same problem. I must say that this is not really what one can expect from a luxury version. Imho I would believe that the manufacturer of the disc should resolve this issue. I would be also happy if Womad could give a statement to this, but I guess it is just bad luck.
Greetings
