Daniel Lanois claims in Uncut Magazine's review of the So box set that he and David Rhodes wrote the songs with Peter "as a tight trio". But the CD inlay notes credit Peter alone for all the songs except That Voice Again (with David) and This is the Picture (with Laurie Anderson). Is Daniel being a bit cheeky here, or is there some substance to his claim? Does anyone know?

On my guess (!) Peter wrote song-essentials and the three worked them out.
Once in the Video "All about US" you could get an impression of that in watching Daniel/David/Peter doing COME TALK TO ME in that way.
David is credited only for lyrics.

Helpful answer, Thom. Sounds plausible to me. Must see if I can find that on Youtube!

Doesn't look like writing to me, just working out demos, feel or basic tracks.

i discovered the "Talk to Me"-snippets on YT. Never seen them before also. One of the uploaders "abcforall" runs a Daniel Lanois-fan-channel. The clips are different from the good old "All about Us"-VHS.
I agree with One of Us.
I think Lanois wants to point out his role in the recording of "So".
in the end: . . . .ALL tracks written by PG (except Rhodes and L. Anderson).

Thank you for the links Cimber!
Never saw those ones.
With PG now retired, it is good to find yet another gem from the past.
