I know that on the announcement of the Live Blood album it says that it was recorded on the 23rd in London, but on the album itself is stated that it was recorded on the 23rd AND the 24th. Is there anyway of getting information on which track was recorded on which date?

I haven't tracked which night each songs culled from (yet) but it is certainly a mixture of the two nights at Hammersmith. I believe the audio is the same as the DVD / blu ray, so if you watch that you can see differences between the two nights. Most obvious is the large camera on a track which runs along the front of the stage. This takes up space and consequently the audience is further back. It was only used on the first night. On the second night, cameraman with handheld cameras filmed her instead. The track was gone, so the audience looks 'tighter' in to the stage. There are other differences and clues too, such as PG's use of dark eye liner on the first night and not on the second (evident in early close ups), and in the intro to Biko, for example, he states the orchestra have never played it live before - so that will be the first night. Most of the later songs, with the audience standing close to the stage were from the second night I believe, as the camera track was gone so there was more space and the atmosphere was very good. Hope that helps for a start...

. . . thanks for the closely observed details. . . eye liner on a man of a certain age freaks me out a bit. . . I keep having flashbacks to Monty in Withnail and I. . .
