i bought the double CD and thought there was supposed to be a card with a download code for high quality tracks to B&W. is this right? if so, where is the card? or the code? all guidance appreciated -thanks much.

I got a little slip in my double album, but I put the code into the B&W website and then it said they would send an email. Nothing. Not in my SPAM folder, so I tried again this morning and it says the code has been used. So I now have no 24 bit tracks and there is no help or support anywhere. Frustration.

Was the CD sealed? Was it FACTORY SEALED w/ original sticker (not re-sealed)? This sounds like you got fooled by someone. Where did you buy it?

I bought it at Barnes & Noble - a major US chain. Yea, it was sealed.

I got my 2-Disc edition from Amazon, shrinkwrapped with original stickers, and I could not find any download codes, either, but I was not expecting it, actually. This is news to me. Where was it said that it would include codes for downloading the Hi-Res files from B&W?

http://www.pocket-lint.com/news/42465/bampw-24-bit-flac-peter-gabriel Notice this is a UK based news company. Maybe their news only applies to the EU pressings of New Blood? Roy, do you mean Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk? Seeing that badwater126 got his copy from a US chain, I am thinking that you got yours from Amazon.com. The reason for my assumption is that it might just be that the North American market is not supposed to have that download code included. If that is the case, I'm sorry for you. Please check the back of your CD covers where the copyright information, disclaimers and other legal information is printed. There should be a notice whether your item was made in the EU or not. Most EU CDs are made in the UK or Germany, North American copies are usually made in the U.S.A. or Mexico. I will be getting my copy shortly. Ordered from the UK womad store. I will check if my copy does contain the download code and whether it is actually made in the EU. If both is true, that does suggest that there is a connection between the country of origin and the inclusion of the code. Then you might consider getting another copy from Europe. I will leave a message here again once I get to check my 2 CD set.

Thanks for the update!

Sorry for not having clarified that, simpucker. Yes, I've got mine from Amazon.com. Anyhow, I've just sent an e-mail to the people at B&W's Society of Sound to try and get some clear information on this promotion.

Thanks, folks, for getting to the bottom of this. My US special edition had no mention of a special 24Bit download -- would love to find out how to access it.

Hey guys, just got my 2CD today. It does state that it is made in the EU and it did contain a working download code. This leads me to believe that the Rest Of The World editions do not include a download code by design. It might have to do with legal issues, maybe international distribution rights of Bowers and Wilkins are concerned. Sorry to be bringing bad news folks... just a regular customer. I hope you can get your 24bit FLAC files in some way. Best of luck!

I got mine from Womad store and it had a code. The dowload is FLAC, which is a pain for the iTunes, so listening with VLC. I want to synch it with my iPad, but I can't get it on iTunes. Does anyone have any idea how to convert it to any lossless format for iTunes?

Try this: http://www.mediamonkey.com/ . It can handle almost everything and I think it's better than iTunes.

Hi Everyone, I live in the US, and can confirm that the only way to get the code is if you order the CD from the UK Womad shop: the UK/EU pressing does have a small piece of paper inside containing the code; the US pressing does not (yep, I now have two editions of the CD -- a splurge, but it's Peter Gabriel, folks!). Cheers

Quick follow-up to my last post: There is no shipping charge to the US when ordering the Special Edition CD from the Womad shop....

Is this about the free download for the New Blood vinyl edition ? I've had problems downloading my code, and am now being told that I've downloaded it too many times...so it's throwing me out ! Any ideas ? Should I contact uksales@bwgroup.com ? I bought my copy through Amazon.co.uk Would be interested to know. Thanks Edward.
