In every interview for New Blood, PG has said he included Solsbury Hill due to overwhelming requests from fans...erm, really? I don't remember any threads on here demanding the song be included. Who told him the fans really wanted it? Despite A Quiet Moment, it still doesn't work for me at the end of the (otherwise brilliant) record.

I agree. He's making it up. The song sells records to less ardent fans, that's all.

There's a theory (at least on genesis-news' review) that it is his way of bringing his career to an end, Hill being his first song and his last. Certainly a good theory, however that doesn't seem to be the direction he intends to go

God AaronAKAAtrus (catchy handle!), I hope not!
Sounds like conspiracy theory gone mad. I guess they don't have too much else to talk about over there?

haha, they have plenty, for their anniversary they are planning a Lamb bash and release of an early demo which I have seen mentioned in the genesis coffee table book called Pennsylvania Flickhouse. (I assume this means a movie theatre?) I digress.
I don't belive this is his musical end, however it would be an OK way to end. I wish at least for I/O though.

Would like hear Pennsylvania Flickhouse at last! Nice.
I don't know about PG, I have a feeling (hope) that the Scratch / New Blood experience has revitalised him and we may see some new stuff sooner than we all fear. He's certainly in superb voice at the moment. If it was up to me, I'd lock him in the Studio til he emerged with 12 finished tracks!

Good point, Sweetfeed. Solsbury Hill did get a loud crowd reaction at gigs. DOn;t know if he meant that. Then again, his wife probably insisted on putting Solsbury Hill on. That would be pressure enough.

Maybe the fans on FB were clamoring for Solsbury Hill - there are quite a bit more on FB than on the moon.
