A friend just hate SMB. I confess that at the first spin I found the album a little monotone and even boring. I blamed the composer that Peter loves so much.
Then i thought, well this isnt reaaaally Peter´s music, is his (the composer he loves)
Then i was in a "processing things in my life", i needed "think music", and SMB was perfect. It is.
It happen very often with Peter´s work. If the Rolling Stones or any other mag critics listen to an album just because they have to or they have to write an article it surely disappoint them. Because Peter provoke many expectations, high expectations.
But, as a long time fan, i always give Peter the benefit of doubt, i wait and i digest and let myself get into every note.
NOw, SMB is one of most listened albums this days.
He really accomplished what his goal was: LETS LISTEN TO THE LYRICS.

Good to hear from you SNgabriel. Amazing how time and changes in life can alter our view of certain music, and what it means to us at different points.
