Where did you get this information?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Blood_(Peter_Gabriel_album) BTW first post! Maybe he got it from the concert list on his facebook account, which would be inaccurate, but this isn't the same either

Well its listed Red Rain twice and Secret World was not played on both nights. Regards Del

Presumably this is for the album, not the the DVD/Blu ray, as Del points out Secret World was not played. But, we know that PG / JM were working on a version of Secret World for the US tour. however, I understood the album to be 'complete' in terms of recording the orchestra. This looks like a stab in the dark, but probably won't be too far off. I'd love it if SW was included, it's a great song.

Well done, thanks! By the way, the source appears to be Dickie's picture of a drawing: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=500733354759&set=a.428107324759.215226.292910949759 where it looks to me like the nineth song is 'Signal to Noise' rather than Darkness? (just my 2 cents.)

(I just edited the Wikipedia page to reflect that)

I do hope "Lead A Normal Life" will be included on the New Blood album.

would love to hear lead a normal live on the Us tour.

Yeah, that's the thing about Wikipedia, anyone can edit, so take it with a grain of salt. I think Moribund the Burgermeister would sound fantastic with an orchestral score.

It's 'New Blood on old bones'. I can't see the point of artists reinterpreting their old songs. It's like Picasso in his later years wasting his time repainting stuff from his blue period. Everyone wants some new material Peter.

I definitely would love some new material but I am also looking forward to hearing his "classics" reworked with an orchestra. Some people are really liking the SMB and New Blood material.

I guess it goes without saying that new PG material would be great. But . . . the concert in Hammersmith was fantastic, to me PG didn't remotely waste his time. And I've really enjoyed what he's done on SMB. All a matter of taste I suppose.

I soppose I was a little harsh. It's just that Gabriel has been my favourite artist since 1976 and now he's beginning to frustrate me. I bought all the albums. I bought all the cds, I bought all the remastered cds, I even bought a couple of the 5.1 discs. Now it's like my favourite restauant never changes it's menu, it just serves the same dishes with a different garnish and I'm increasing eatting else where. The first time I saw Peter live was back in 1980 at Manchester. Some fruit loop shouted out for 'Supper's Ready'and Peter shouted back, 'I see we've got an historian in the crowd'. It was a nice come back, but now all his audience are historians. I don't want to hear all his classics again - I want something new. Roger Waters frustrates me in the same way. He hasn't released anything new in years but just charges a fortune to play a concert of old stuff and releses new versions of his classics. There'll no doubt be a new recording of the Wall released after this tour which will be the 4th official version.

Peter is going to do what he's going to do. I understand your frustration but I am very grateful he has not retired. I would honestly miss him.

I love the orchestral stuff, can't wait for NB and the 3D film, but I really want him to get in that studio and get his new ideas down too. Come on Peter, after June, it's time. (.summer 2012 release please. That's "quick but realistic", like an enthusiatic young lover who once looked a bit like me ) :-]
Sammy The Slug 15 April 2011 at 8:08pm Posts: 1040 (0 today) Status: offline
I like the orchestral stuff very much but i would have prefered new material. It's time Peter to get back to the studio and write new songs. You must have plenty of them just waiting to be finished.
blueeyedsuzie 18 April 2011 at 4:35pm Posts: 16 (0 today) Status: offline
I think it's a matter of time before he releases new stuff. Maybe with New Blood it'll give him a change of pace. I'm just greatful he's not retired yet! From the recordings I've heard from the Official Bootlegs the man still got it!! And by any chance did anyone ever stop to think that Peter maybe working on some new songs just hasn't mention it yet?
AaronAKAAtrus 18 April 2011 at 5:09pm Posts: 445 (0 today) Status: offline
I would like a re-inventing, but limiting it to orchestra. for example: acoustic Shock the Monkey & BYUBYD, Orchestral Games. On second thought. =
