Hello Lunatics
I'm not going to complain about the rain when Australia, Brazil and Sri Lanka have had such floods and destruction. I hope for them the rain abates soon.
Still listening to to PG's new version of Wallflower - wonderful, wonderful.
Hello totally restless Sh27696! Welcome to the Moon - if you've been a fan since '77 you've probably been here before. . .

I wonder if PG will hold out a bit longer hoping the other 'missing' artists will come through? I'm sure he's intending that his New Blood treatment of his own stuff will come out first.
On the rocky: Spiro 'Binatone' - one of my christmas delights.

These scaring floods all over the world, Duddy, so we really should not complain about the inconvenience of the weather here in Europe.
I often think neighborhood has to get more importance, again. Our world is shrinking and we sometimes know more about people from the other side of the earth than of our own neighbors. You have to act in a doubled way, I think, be engaged by the miseries which happen to people from the other side of the globe AND be in contact with your close neighbors, not only in your village, but also in a political sense here in Europe. This year's European capitals of culture are two cities, Turku in Finland and Tallinn in Estonia, what do we know about Estonia or Finland?
A healthy community can be a kind of healer for others, I believe, and it knows how to support when others are in need. I think Europe should have grown together first as a cultural system but not only as an economic place.
But I am idealistic, a dreamer
Music can do a lot!

I guess I'm following you around the Moon today Ellee!
You make some good points there. I was watching a tv programme about south pacific communities on tiny islands who all join to harvest food and build shelters etc. It made me very thoughtful imagining being part of such a community. Very easy to be completely separate from your neighbours here. Engaging with them helps you to understand and empathise with problems - and joys! There are some amazing examples but they seem more unusual than the norm. I think the workplace often is like a community too though not with the same attachments.

Hello restless fans!
Good points from both of you, Ellee and Duddy. I must admit I don't know much about from Finland either and the only thing I know about Estonia is Robert Fripp's soundscape tour in 2006 and the facts that Haapsalu has the world's best mud and Tallinn's St. Olaf's Church was the world's tallest from 1549 to 1625.
But for me, when cities are called such names as capitals of culture, I feel an extreme urge to learn more about them and their countries, specially when I know so little.
Today, I've found a very interesting article that serves as retrospective of our suffering as the restless fans we are and fits quite nicely in this thread.

Hi you restless or non restless :-]
Thanks Duddy for the Elbow-mix, I didn't know it before and do love it!
Mr Clueless: you know about this church in Tallinn, how come? :-] :-]
I become curious, too when I get news about things like these culture capitals, but I think it's off the media – it is a pity, you have to go and search for information, it doesn't fly by to be picked up. That's annoying, culture is not important enough in my opinion.
Thanks for the Genesis-News link! So PG's fans have been working up their abilities to wait for decades :-]
Well, to be honest: that's not so hard for me; I am not very quick, too (at least in things, that are important for me). And I guess if PG is interested in some kind of work, it's worth waiting.

To be understood: culture should have more importance in the media (in my opinion)

Not need to clear that up Ellee, I got your point and I think you're right on the spot: the media thinks culture isn't important, and maybe for them it really isn't, why bring interesting things like these when they can throw huge trucks of garbage over us? They couldn't care less and it shows when what should get exposure ain't got any.
I don't quite remember how I know about that church, it may have been a documentary from some channel or something like that.
That's a good observation and I guess it's pretty much Gabriel's POV. If he's interested in a project he works on it and it eventually gets released, otherwise, he'd rather not release it than make a sub-par effort.
