I've received mine but haven't open it yet. I'm almost scared to open the cardboard box! I'm an amateur music collector, so I think this will be literally treated with cotton gloves. I'm very excited to see it though!

I have the signed print from the box (#289/500) at the frame shop. The framer loved the quality of the print and the paper stock, not to mention Peter's signature. They are going to mount it using acid free mats and U/V resistant glass to preserve it as much as possible. Not a bad deal for $45.

@Greggster59 - that's a great idea. I'll have to ponder that (I just wonder how that would impact the value of the entire package if you that out).

I bought this box to enjoy the high res (24/96) files and to own a bit of PG memorabilia, namely the print. I'm not much of a collector. You make a good point in pondering how the value as a collector's item would be compromised. If you plan on selling it down the road it will have to be as close to the original condition as possible. Limits what you can do with it, I suppose.

Hi everyone, I don't use the forum, but I really need some help. I received my box set and one of the corners of the lid are completely torn from edge to edge. I need to know some numbers or email addresses to contact to try to sort out getting the box exchanged. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all.

Wow. I seriously doubt that your box was put in the mail in that condition. Have you noticed any 'irregularities' on the postage wrapping - any hints that it might have been 'redone' in transit following this incident ?
Has anyone else got their boxes damaged ?!

That's the thing, the plastic hasn't even been taken off, so I don't know who or how to get in touch with someone

when you click 'buy Scratch my back' and end up on the page where you can buy the box set, there is a 'customer support' link at the bottom on the left. I would think this would be helpful, unless you've tried it already.
If all else fails, maybe through 'Realworld' or through 'Tina' on her competition page. Good luck and keep us posted if possible.

Greetings:
I wonder if any of you would mind helping with a holiday project I'm working on at the moment.
I'm currently waiting for a copy of the SMB box set which I have purchased as a gift for my biological mom, who is as big a PG fan as I am (the apple truly stays close to the tree). We didn't meet until last year, but spent a few hours close to each other in 1992 when WOMAD toured the U.S., separated by only a few rows. Amazing to have been so close to her and not known who she was.
I saw the collector's edition of this most recent album, and thought it would be a perfect gift for her, especially the print of the two blood cells - perfect symbolism. In fact, I would like to have it framed prior to seeing her on the 25th.
That's where you come in. It doesn't sound like the package will arrive until the week of Christmas, so I'm going to be cutting it close. I plan to speak to a frame shop later this week to make arrangements for framing, but will not be able to provide specific dimensions until the box set arrives. That might be too late for them to make a frame for me, so would any of you mind very carefully grabbing your copy of the signed print and measuring it for me?
Either way, thanks!
All the best,
Tim

Tim,
The print itself measures 12" on each side. I hope this helps. The frame shop will probably make the final determination when they have the print in hand. The frame I have it in measures 13 7/8 inch a side and the frame itself (black painted wood) is 13/16" wide. I hope this helps. I'm sure youe mom will love it.

Thanks for the info and the kind words. I'm still hoping it arrives on time, but I haven't received shipment confirmation just yet. Ordered last month, too.

Yea, MAK, it's been amazing, and I cannot get over the fact that we were at the same show so many years ago. I'm sure I saw her. I just hope I didn't "check her out" at the show. Ack! Oedipus much?
