But the question is: How do I get the rest of the $9.99 16-track digital download of Scratch My Back? I pre-ordered it last week from petergabriel.com and it immediately downloaded one track (The Book Of Love). I can't be the only person on this forum who is in this situation. Can someone enlighten me?

Thanks Duddy and Soil!

Dagobah. . .I bought my CD through different sources, so sorry, I can't help you there. Can anyone else answer Dagobah's question?

Below is the correspondence I've had so far (following my initial inquiry an hour earlier) via the customer support link on the "Topspin" site. It's been an hour and 45 minutes so far, with no resolution.
"I innocently thought I was doing PG a service by ordering from this site rather than ITunes (my normal procedure). Clearly, this was a mistake. With ITunes, my download would've been available post-midnight, on March 2. Your "system" has left me in the lurch for 13 hours - and counting.
I have eagerly awaited this release and now I have to wait for your response. I want this resolved NOW, please!
I reserve my regards - for the moment.

Is there a 24-bit download voucher in the 2-CD version from US retailers?

*UPDATE* As of 3 PM west coast time, I received a link which downloaded 12 tracks but NOT the additional 4 bonus tracks promised . Am now waiting for THAT correction. This is the most frustrating online, audio transaction I've ever experienced. Certainly not up to "Real World" standards.
(Sorry about the previous (unintended) redundancy- "back-clicking" resent post.)

To: Balancingact and any other forum members who addressed my question
I have the above responses. Thank you so much for the info folks. I just now got back on to my computer to check into the forum. As of this moment, I haven't made any attempt to contact Topspin or Real World or anyone (except for this forum) because I figured I would get an email at some point today or tomorrow. I plan to check back with this specific forum thread several times over the next 48 hours to read any updates posted concerning this issue. So if you could update this forum thread when you feel it is necessary, I would REALLY appreciate it . and maybe there are a few others who could use the info besides me. By the way, I still have not yet received any emails concerning my purchase of the $9.99 16-track Scratch My Back digital download. Gotta go back to work. Talk to you later.

Okay. My issues have been addressed satisfactorily. Dagobah, I recommend first contacting customer service at TOPSPIN - then once you've been sent a link for the download of the 12 initial tracks - it appears that "Real World" follows up presently with a link for the additional four tracks. I do wish this process would have been made a little more lucid from the start. However, all is well that ends well. "The Peter" has a new album out . and a lovely piece o' work it is!

Balancingact, thanks again for the update. Internet access was unavailable for the last 12 hours here at my condo, but it's back. During that time, petergabriel.com sent me an email that had the "zip file" links for the Scratch My Back digital download (a link for each format - MP3, Apple Lossless, FLAC). The "zip file" link worked and I now have all 16 tracks in my iTunes library. Looking back on this situation, I am very happy that Peter Gabriel allowed us to listen to the album on his website BEFORE the album was released. It gave me a chance to hear the Oxford Temple London Version of "My Body Is A Cage", which I liked a lot better than the main Peter Gabriel version. At the time, I suspected that the bonus tracks would ONLY be available if I purchased the album from petergabriel.com. I could find no info about this anywhere, whether it was Peter's website or this forum or Wikipedia. My suspicion concerning the bonus tracks was the only reason I bought the album from petergabriel.com As everybody knows by now, iTunes ALSO has the bonus tracks available to purchase. I guess my purchase directly from petergabriel.com benefits Peter somehow and that is fine with me. But at the same time, I feel that musicians (and the people in charge of setting up their album releases) should give out more detailed info about upcoming albums. I'm specifically referring to the 2 weeks before the release date. At that time, all the relevant decisions concerning album versions and bonus tracks have usually been made. Why not inform the consumer?
