In Peters works, there is nothing unconsidered. The same is to the lay-out of his albums. One thing for example are the two different created letters of SO and US, which mean equality of two elements like two people, woman and man or just equal rights.(eclipsed) On the front picture, I could see two elements beeing very close like a kiss inside a flower. One in two, two in one. Or maybe a symbol for ear and mouth at the same time, listening and singing, receive and transmitt. After all maybe just one central point in the background: Touch. In the middle:Brainstorming? The thinker behind the music? Connection of streams fluiding inside our heads and outside? Collective subconsciousness? The backside: Earth shown with its breakable thin crust, threatening liquid laven underneath it? The colour: Bloody red. Blood as a symbol for life, connection of all livings like the waters on earth? For me a good way of stimulating my own way of thinking.

Hmmm, interesting thread,I'd say that the cells are like two people. The black around them isolates them from the others, but not necessarily, since there are no limits for the picture.I can see the title there,"Scratch my Back",the one cell is like it's scratching the other's back.Like it helps the other cell, like it takes care of it,like we would do for a person we love. Also it's like you can see lips formed, which makes stronger my opinion about the love which is all over in this cover. Phew, that's it for now.

Of course that was my opinion about the cover,as for the other pictures,I'm still analysing them.

Very interesting - I think you're both right! It starts with x2 blood corpuscles but I like to think they are two different beings - making contact but I think both passing by, tumbling off to something else. Incredibly sensual picture. Peter in his crimson cloak- no idea why but very dramatic with a piercing blue eye. The picture of the blood vessels looks as if it's from the brain as you say Wave Project, almost a map of the activity going on. Like the blood corpuscles - 2 halves, parts. I think that photo of PG with his eyes squeezed shut is him having a brainwave or trying to bring a memory to mind! Love the blurriness of it too. And the tour is called New Blood. . .pumping rhythm. I thought of the eye when I saw the last photo but maybe not. It does look as if it is somehow opening up or about to break out, with the little gleams of white. Evoulini, I like that pic you have. :-]

i also believe that PG puts his projects in proper order. he has talked about SMB and I/O for years. i suspect that completing this project will give him "new blood" or energy for the difficult task of completing the songwriting process of I/O. at his age, songs rarely "fall from the sky" anymore. and now he will draw upon inspiration from some of his favorite songwriters.

there are 2 kinds of listening to music - I will explain my very own view about it - this is how I feel: 1. you can listen to music, there is a lot of great tunes and non PG-stuff and. . . 2. . . .you can listen to PG, which is quite different, as it is the MAXIMUM STIMULATION for your BRAIN-CELLS and any area in the BRAIN, associated with pleasure, arts, music and whatever. The music of PG lies in your BLOOD and veins - while listening to PG, any of those millions of RED BLOOD-CELLS receives this special mood as a signal from the brain during the listening and gets into this state of connection like on the album-cover of "sCrAtCh mY bAcK" :-]. . .

A very interesting thread! I think everyone has expressed a good idea of what Peter is trying to tell us not only through his splendid music, but also through images. I agree with Duddy when he says that lips' picture is very sensual: a bit like Peter's music, I find. Yesterday I wrote an article about SMB, but I have to translate it into English before giving you the link. Best wishes and a fabulous Weekend to everyone!
