All your other releases were re-released on SACD. PLEASE release your new disc on SACD! Anyone else want to chip in to this thread?

Actually for me it's not really important if it's on SACD or not, what I care about is that it's released in multichannel. And that could be on DVD also.

Well, I am with you Darthlaker A 96/24 bit DVD-A (preferably in 5.1) would be acceptable as well.

Yes, I'd love to see this as a multi-channel SACD release.

Yeah come on ! Get it released as an SACD ! The other titles are nothing short of stunning ! And by the way, re-release the other SACD titles already available, some of them are out of print and are reaching silly prices (more than 200â?¬) on the second hand market due to HIGH demand ! Please Please Please ! We want an SACD !

I'm with you lot, all his SACD releases have been fantastic, especially Up with it's breathtaking multi-channel, one of my favourite SACDs in my collection. Can't see a small protest making any difference but certainly want to add my voice to it anyway.

Why do people buy SACD players.Right.to listen as much as possible to SACD CD's. For some time now I ONLY buy SACD's. I did buy the remastered CD's of PG in SACD. UP has been in the player for some time. It sounds GREAT!. Can't wait to have the new CD in MULTI SACD as well. SO PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE !! Yes SACD!! :-]

The thing I find a total paradox is, that companies like Denon, Oppo and even Sony have been putting out new SACD players over the years and now even excellent blu ray players with SACD playback ability, but the major lables have almost completely abandoned SACD. As the awareness increased of that format that almost no marketing was done for, they slowely faded out there support. If SACD players sell well, and they do have to otherwise they would not continue to produce them, why SACDs don't? I do not get it? And bye the way, it is expensive to buy music so it is completely logical that SACD took some time to gather momentum since the usual costumer does not go out and rebuys his entire catalogue at once. I still have discs on my want list that now increasingly get expensive because they are out of print! And I am not the only one.

No news, sadly . I wonder how we could get heard by some official people . All we can do is to make noise here, on this forum, but it seems that nobody is reading us . People continue to say that SACD is dead but there have never been so much SACD players of very good quality and low price on the market than nowadays ! But no more discs . That is stupid ! Release interesting stuff and we will buy it IMMEDIATLY ! Please, Peter, you are the one who can make things move on ! Go ! Release this album on SACD, please !

Dear Fellow-Lunies, SACD is not dead, they still release new (i.e. 2009/2010) SACD versions of classic records, for instance, Astor Piazzolla's Tango Apasionado etc. in Japan (you can check on hmv.co.jp). I believe SMB would deserve the SACD treatment even if it is only Stereo and only Japan. I am not crazy about 5.1 when it comes to orchestras, you don't normally sit among the players unless you are a member of the orchestra. If it is worth investing in pressing LP versions for the spirited but relatively limited (i.e. in number) vinyl community, then I suppose the SACD community (which is probably larger than the vinyl guys) would also be happy about such a surprise/treat, and would gladly buy the SACD versions, and I repeat, even if it is just Stereo and perhaps just Japan! In short, count me in for the petition! Best wishes, Peter Antonyi (Hungary)

Well guys, now it is official: Real World mailed me back today (thank you very much btw) and told me that there are NO plans to release SMB on SACD. No explanation why though, maybe they will tell me, if I ask them. I really do not understand this decision and hope that others will email them on that subject as well. Make your voice heard!

May I on behalf of all PS3SACD.com readers and al 7 million or so owners of SACD-compatible PlayStation3 owners join the petition to ask for 'Scratch My Back' on SACD, preferably in a multichannel mix? I'm anyway surprised we're not seeing one (regardless of the carrier) considering Peter Gabriel's opinion about multichannel audio: http://bitstream.soundandvisionmag.com/blog/2007/12/more-gabriel-mo.html The SACD of 'Up' was brilliant!
