After hearing first tunes of the new (long awaited) record, I thought: this beautifull musik must be played on vinyl not digital. so after I searcing the web, I found nothing only a cd version. what do you think, will there be a vinyl version of the new record?

I don't know if a vinyl edition will be released but it's a great idea.
Maybe you can have a look on the Classic Records web site. All the back PG catalogue was re-released on Classic Records' vinyls at the time of the album UP.

Vinyl Editions of PG 1-4 & So will be released Feb 16th 2010 on Amazon (US). Not sure about other countries.

I still have all of my original PG vinyl, including his Genesis records. I remember how many times I had to return LPs of PG 4 as a result of a batch fault.
However. I've never had anything like the satisfaction from cd as I had from vinyl from an audiophile point of view. The intro of Intruder says it all. I must get my turntable out again just to experience that visceral feeling again.

anyone knows where to order the vinyl? jet it isn't listet on amazon.de only in the u.k. but you can't preorder it . looking for tips!

so does this annoucement mean there are two versions being released on vinyl????
'Scratch My Back' vinyl is coming
It's official, there will be versions of the album available for vinyl affectionados. Plans are also underway for a deluxe box-set which is looking really beautiful. We'll keep you posted.
