Hey all,
Has anyone got their 'Encore' CDs or USB from the Hollywood Bowl concert?
Did anyone get feedback from the WOMAD shop about the status of their order?
I ordered a USB of the show on 18 October and haven't heard a thing

I've tried to email and call the WOMAD shop to no avail.
I'm wondering if I should be worried?
Thanks!

Already received and listened to. You may want to go back and make sure they received and processed your order.

Thanks for responding. At least I know some orders have been processed.
I've already tried to email and call the WOMAD shop multiple times so I'm a little unsure as to what to do next.
I have till tomorrow to raise a "dispute" with Paypal so it looks like I'll have to go that route. Bugger

Cheers

Hi- I ordered a usb for the Boston show from themusic.com. Says it shipped on 11/15, but no sign of it. Big disclaimer on the order that if using an uninsured method, music.com not responsible for loss. Haven't lost anything in the US mail for at least 20 years, so I'm wondering if it's been shipped at all. Anyone else having a problem?

I got my USB Road Case today...it is soooo cool. The microphone USB's are really nice quality and the sound quality of most of the shows is great. I tried some songs from each show. Really impressed. Great stuff, worth the wait.

Now I'm thoroughly confused. I received an email from The Music (dot) com stating the Hollywood Bowl show is only available through the PG site, and they provided a link:
http://petergabriel.com/encore_store/?product=two_cd_set
But there's no option to purchase on that page. Am I blind? I do see that if I purchase the entire box set, the Hollywood Bowl show is a "free bonus"...I'm sure the other shows were great, but I don't want to have to purchase all of them just for one show! HELP!!!!

JCBH did it included the Hollywood bowl recording. I ordered my CD and got it within a month of payment and the show. The show is now two months past and a month after my purchase and still nothing. Has anyone else received their Hollywood Bowl USB stick/microphone not part of a road-case order?
This is supposed to be a Christmas present for my oldest son that went with me. i have contacted both PayPal and the Womad shop but without reply.

Yes, all 15 of the 16 shows are in the road case USB...Santa Barbara was not included, as they announced. Got 2 CDs as a bonus (other shows). Very, very nice package. Got the same number as the other 5 road case tours I have purchased over the years. Very happy. By the way, Las Vegas (also a show we attended) has really great sound quality. Planet Hollywood was a nice venue and I am very pleased with how the sound turned out. The performances are also terrific. Enjoy!

The Road case arrived and has Hollywood Bowl inside... anyone know why its a separate item from most of the other cd's and only available on PG website?

I hadn't received anything yet but this email:
"Dear Peter Gabriel Fan,
Due to high demand, the Peter Gabriel 2012 USB Flash Drives are currently back ordered, but will be re-stocked shortly. Your order will ship on our around December 27th, 2012. "
Well, fuck the encores, fuck the music.com, fuck the geezer in charge - that's the last fucking time I order a fucking item from that fucking site.

JCBH,
Thanks for the review of Las Vegas. I am randomly going through my set and uploading them. Detroit (The show I attended), Quebec, (the first show) and San Jose,(with Humdrum).
My next will be Las Vegas for the sound quality.

I was listening to the Red Rocks show, and this recording also has great sound quality. I was very impressed with the performance overall. PG and band sound relaxed and the music feels different, in a good way. I was pleasantly surprised by the recording.

Wasn't thrilled with music.com either. Don't like to be forced to register somewhere just to make an occasional purchase. Not to mention the scare tactics for shipping upgrades. The, if you didn't get it we aren't responsible, that's fine, but you'd better be able to prove to me that you sent it. That said, did get my cd pretty quick, but couldn't get the flash drive for Chicago for some reason. Not sure if they just ran out or whatever.
In review, having the Chicago cd, now I understand some of the people complaining about a woman off to the side being a bit obnoxious. Couldn't really hear her as well where I was sitting, but boy, can hear her early on the cd.

She does settle down and not as noticeable as the concert goes. The other thing I noticed was what I noticed at the concert, it took them a few songs to get in the groove, but once they did watch out, watch out!

I just got my Chicago CD a couple of days ago as well; it took about 10 days from order.
The CD is awesome, sound is great, the balance between the audience and the band is terrific; you can hear Peter very clearly. It really is like reliving the show. I was in the front row and imagine that I can hear myself “Whoo Hooo”ing a couple of times.
It starts a little slow but by the time they get to Secret World things are cooking. Love that song and the live version is really amazing.
Like you Zen, I never noticed during the concert, but as was discussed here previously, the lady shouting “We love you Peter!” is pretty obvious early on, and then she sort of fades to the occasional, “Peeeetttterrrrr!” after a bit. Not that big a deal all in all.
A great CD, thank you Peter (We love you Peeetttteerrrrr!

), and thank you music.com

Still waiting at this end

I finally received a response from someone at Realworld only after I raised a dispute with PayPal. I was told my order shipped at the end of November and that it could take 2-3 weeks to get to me. It would be nice to get it before xmas. Fingers crossed!
Hey nm8tion - I had the same problem with the PG site and the page to order the Hollywood Bowl CD/USB. I spoke to the web master who assured me the problem had been fixed. I only got the page to render properly when I tried at a friends place that uses a different ISP.
Cheers

I have received my order but unfortunately, the wrong concert was sent. I ordered the Hollywood Bowl but received San Diego. Hughly dissapointed since it was a Christmas present. I have emailed customer service at WOMAD but have not had any reply for three days. I guess my only choice is to go back through Paypal to resolve this. This shouldn't be so hard or time consuming. Perhaps next time Mr. Gabriel will engage a company to distribute product that mirrors his high standards.

Sorry you've had issues with The Music.com, I've never had any issues at all, so I think you've been unlucky! I did enquire when the discs would arrive and was told probably not before Christmas but my Hollywood Bowl discs arrived yesterday!
I had excellent help from David Hatchman at Realworld. He is contactable via email: accounts@realworld.co.uk
By the way the gig sounds great! Hope you manage to get it all sorted soon.
