Hi Jonny75 Really interesting article- but i dont really see the connction with PG offerting front row seats, plus sound check etc etc at a premium with the scalping market. It costs me over 100 pound to fill my car with petrol (well diesel actually) so 290 quid premium - or less than three tanks of fuel - is good value for me to have an enjoyable afternoon and evening watching and listening to a music i like, as a one off treat. As it happends i thought the box set was actually good value (there - i have now probably lost all support in this discussion in one swift move) - but my view is that it must have been very expensive to put together the DNA CD - a lot more time consuming and expensive than simply pulling together the B sides or run a quick 5.1 mix which many seem to have prefered. (and I am a loyal SACD fan and would love a 5.1 mix of So and the recent orchestral CD's)........yet anopther topic i suppose. anyway - thanks for the conversation and link. v. interesting Grumps

Great, I managed to go back via the O2 site today and got ROW B seats on Monday night for £50+fees - glad i didnt spend on VIP now. I looked at VIP but £350 for one person plus all the costs of getting there were a bit high - so pleased - just got another ticket to sell on though for the same night in a different Row...

BTW, on the PreSale ticket site, the So box set is going for £65. This seems to include shipping as nothing more is mentioned but they do want your address. It doesn't seem to be collection at the venue. If anyone has bought a something other than a ticket from Kililive, I'm sure they can enlighten!

Have only just had pre-sale email today and only just realised what it was! Got O2 arena Block 112. Does anyone know if this is good view? Haven't been to the O2 before.

Got tix for M.E.N. just couldn't miss out after seeing PG play the "growing up" show at the same arena.

I managed to get a ticket for MEN (my hometown venue) only block E row H, so I am on the look out for anything better. I didn't have the funds for a vip package but Glasgow still has front rows ones so if they are still there come pay day ..... I might take my 8 year to one of these and I took my elder son to Genesis in 2007 and he was 7/8 at the time and enjoyed it. Hope people get to see at least one gig, I might get some more tickets later as I don't mind seeing a show from the back as you get a totally different view and can take all the light/videos in. I remember in 03 or 04 when there was 2 back-back london gigs, PG gave some tickets away via the website and I went from seats right near the front to right up high but my photos from those nights work great together. Counting down the days already now. See you guys there.

Hi Prickespons. Many thanks, much appreciated. Always worried as soon a I've booked about whether I've got decent view or not. Booked on Axm. None of the ticket sites I've encountered give you much choice of seating. I certainly didn't see any block A seats - perhaps they're only for the O2 Priority customers if you're on O2 phone. Happy that I've got tickets at all. Great to have something to look forward to for a whole year!

I got very good tickets for Glasgow in the presale but I'm getting very paranoid that I'll end up getting moved as that seems to have happened to some of you before, unless I'm misunderstood.
Zenrider 24 November 2012 at 8:03am Posts: 3538 (2 today) Status: offline
Don't worry Kyle, it's not so much that people got moved, as they moved themselves after finding better seats. Something tells me you've got the best you could get. If I was more confident of the weeks I may get for vacation/holiday next year, I would have been oh so tempted to try for front row in Glasgow, though I am sure that option is long gone now. Likely just as well, but.... Have fun at the show.

Oh thank god, they're not all seated tix in Germany too. Otherwise this tour would break the bank for sure. Thank you - whoever made that decision.

Which shows are standing ? I prefer a standing gig every time but I never stay sat for long at a PG gig.
Jonny75 24 November 2012 at 12:44pm Posts: 55 (0 today) Status: offline
@cebs There hasn't been a standing PG indoor gig for a long time. Brighton 2003?
cebs 24 November 2012 at 9:20pm Posts: 141 (0 today) Status: offline
Yes that's the last indoor one but woman and bickering 2007 were both outside standing. I was first in the queue outside Brighton and loved that show, it one of the few times I printed off photos as I got some mint ones. I won't be sitting for long in Manchester anyway but I'd love a proper standing one.

I ended up purchasing 3 sets of tickets for the hammersmith show last year... Ticketmaster really screwed things up with the way they released the tickets... Ended up with the seats I wanted but it shouldn't be like That... AXS on the other hand appear to be superb with they way they actually put on a decent pre-sale with good seats released for the fans.. As it should b... I checked ticketmaster and it looks like they were not allocated many tickets at all... It's nice not having to give them any money for a change!!! I loved the orchestra shows.. And it introduced 2 of my friends to the world of Mr Gabriel... But I am looking forward to them Seeing him in full on rock mode!! If anyone is in Row H A2 for the Monday 02 show - prepare for some noise and early standing up!!!!!!

Does anyone know how the VIP standing areas are going to work in Germany. Will they be given early access so they can fill up the front or do you think a section might be sealed off for them , ie a semi circle , giving non VIPs a chance to get at the front once doors open. I am up for a road trip for some standing gigs but would need to know there is a chance to get right at the front, however even a few rows back isn't too bad unless you are under 5'5".
