Hi there,
Four UK dates have been announced for next October. October 21st & 22nd at the O2 in London, then the 24th in Glasgow and 25th in Manchester.
Here's the link I was sent:

Cheers,

Yeah, I saw the email by Kikimanjaro Live.
They say that tickets will be available on november the 23rd - a year in advance?

I don't know where I'll be in a year from now - hell, I don't even know whether I will be alive in a year from now!
It doesn't make sense.

Seems to be the norm now! Rush tickets went on sale May 2012 for gigs in May 2013. Roger Waters for September 2013 are going on sale this week. Imagine how much int£r£$t is building up in bank accounts!

A year in advance is quite common (I've a few shows booked deep into 2013). I'm more concerned about the fact the Glasgow venue only had it's roof scaffold completed 2 weeks ago!
This will be a curious tour for me as I always thought the original line up was his weakest and poorest tour overall. What I've heard from the US tour has been deeply disappointing and David Sancious needs to ditch most of his keyboard patches and jazz elements. Manu Katche, although lovely to see him again, can barely play following his back maladies.
We'll also be 6 years into back catalogue dredging. 2007 worked as the band was the strongest of his career (collectively) and the arrangements were refreshed (some definitive), but each rehash seems weaker than the last.
I'll still be there, maybe even VIP, mainly as I don't expect him to tour again, but it will be bittersweet.

Any chance of a presale, albeit a few rows back, for people who can't afford the VIP package?

Can hardly believe its 25 years. Don't suppose we'll get Youssou N'Dour supporting again.

Do you think these will be the only 4 in UK and if so which arena would be the best to go to?

I am pretty certain these will be the only UK dates. I'm sure each sure each will have it's own merits, I am not sure if he will play with the set list for the second O2 date.
Your biggest concern will be getting a decent ticket at all; the world of scalpers seems to get worse every year. Buying tickets for a recent Depeche Mode gig was horrific and PG doesn't do standing now.

Gr8 news, this is really early announcement for a PG event... The O2 was amazing for the New Blood events.... Just hope the sound is filled out further - from the sounds I heard on the USA tour the keyboard sounds were not the typical samples from the era.

I agree that, although in general I really don't like big venues, the O2 is as good an arena as you are likely to find - I saw New Blood there and found the sight lines and sound pretty good and although it's huge, it has a reasonably god feel.
Anyone know where you go for general admission tickets when they come on sale on Friday - here, Ticketmaster, elsewhere?

Hi
2 quick questions:
1) Did anybody get an e mail about these gigs? I only found out by chance when I was on the o2 website for something else. the last e mail I got regarding PG was to promote the SO box set.
2) How do we apply for VIP and normal presale tickets when they go on presale tomorrow? Has anybody heard if the details will be on the PG website?
Thanks very much in advance for your help

I got an email from Kilimanjaro - I think because I saw PG at the O2 Arena in 2010.

Hi
Thanks for your reply re. Kilimanjaro. I saw him there then as well, but I got the tickets directly from the PG website.
Do you think that there will be a link on the PG website tomorrow to enable us to order them?

4 gigs, 2 in London - not exactly pushing the boat out here. Shame Birmingham missed off the list. Will there be more announced in due course?

Hi
I'm with o2 and ordered Roger Waters tickets via them this morning.
I don't understand what the o2 alert is that you refer to. Is that how you found out what the ticket prices are?
How did you receive the alert?
Thanks in advance for answering my naive questions!
