My first concert ever was Secret World Live in Phoenix, July 1993. I was a senior in high school and it was just amazing even though I was in the nose bleeds. I am so excited for Vegas this Friday. I got the Gold VIP package with row CC seats for my 14 year son and I. I have been reading posts about other peoples experiences on this tour and how the crowd is getting old. My son will probably be one of the younger people there. If you see us, watch him as he can sing along with all the songs. It is so cool to hear him humming PG songs while doing his chores. Because of him being one of the few youngsters he should be easy to find so come say hi to us. I saw on Facebook where PG was asking for recommendations for possible set list changes. I vote for "More Than This". That is my personal favorite. The guitar riff in that song gives me goose bumps every time I hear it for some reason. It would love to hear that song live. I know the TOS for VIP packages says there is no guarantee we will get to see PG at sound check but I have my fingers crossed. People have posted about how disappointing it would be to spend so much money and not see him but its a risk I decided to take. Maybe I will get lucky and PG will see this and make my son's experience the best ever by saying hi to him or something. I can't wait until Friday! This week is going by so slow... Pony 14 year old PG fan? You're raising the boy right! I unfortunately have not been able to attend any of the shows this time around but if I were attending I would ask for Sky Blue, one of his most beautiful songs IMO.

Pony I think it's nearly a guarantee that you will see and hear PG at the Sound Check, you just won't have a personal visit. He'll wave hello to the sound check group, rehearse, and you'll be able to wave to him, and clap for him, and laugh at his witty comments. There is an intimacy with the smaller crowd, but I don't think any of the groups at sound check have had him walk down and chat or take pics or anything. You can always yell out "Hi Peter!" and you might get a wave or response. I would love him to add Sky Blue too Jen! My 15 year old daughter has attended 5 PG shows, and my 16 year old son has attended 1 PG show. They aren't seeing this tour since we live in Florida and they are in high school and really can't miss school right now. If PG was touring in FL, they would be attending with me! I've had to become a traveling lunatic in order to see PG, since he hasn't performed in FL since 2003. My daughter has become a huge One Direction fan, but I can't blame her. Those boys are cute, and if I were 14 or 15 I would have had a crush on them too! Your son will probably be one of the youngest in attendance, but that's okay. Have a great show!

Holed up at the Aria and am getting out of town on Thursday in a rented convertible headed to Hoover Dam, Valley of Fire SP, Mt. Charleston and the gig Friday night. I'm hoping that walk-up ticket sales are good as a ton of tickets for Planet Hollywood were available last time I checked.

Getting on a plane from Texas today for tomorrow's show. Incredibly excited, and I too have the "Gold Hot Mess Sound Explosion Ticket of a very High Price" - or whatever its called. See you there. That's a lucky kid you have, you're a good parent. Question: I'm I right in understanding that once we are in for sound check that we are not allowed to leave the venue until after the show itself is over? Meaning, I can't go eat dinner between sound check and the show?

Peet2-They scan your ticket when you go in for sound check, so you cannot leave. You will have a dinner/drinks included, so after your sound check you'll be escorted to the room you are having dinner in, and after dinner you can visit the merchandise stand prior to the venue opening, or just hang out with the group of that have your " Hot Gold Mess Sound Explosion Ticket" too!

If I could get a couple of great seats to the vegas show I'd have to burn some southwest airlines miles - but it doesn't seem to be in the cards.....I have not been able to get the Red Rocks show out of my head - so many highlights it's impossible to count. The VIP experience at Red Rocks was amazing - you will not be disappointed. Peter was very engaging with the soundcheck "crowd" and it really humanized him for me, if you know what i mean. He talked about how the show was in three parts, "The first half is acoustic, the second half is electric, and the third....uh...math was never my best topic". Very humble, engaging, funny, and then they played about 4 songs all the way through. After soundcheck was dinner. It wasn't "snacks". Great experience, would definitely do it again, even though I am far from the 1%.

Almost set to start our drive to Vegas. My boy is in high school but I think missing one day to get his first Vegas experience and such great seats to what I consider a high class music event worth it. The life experience he will get this weekend is not something he could ever learn in school. He does not know yet that I have also setup Segway rentals for us for the weekend. We are a family of geeks and he is going to go nuts when he finds out. @Peet2, the email I got said we won't be able to leave once we check in. But from the other posts I read and as @grahamk and @ela said, we get food so I don't think anyone will starve

Have a great time Moriah! You guys will probably love cruising around on Segways! We did a Segway and snorkel combo in Cozumel on a cruise. Sounds funny I know, but we took a Segway class, then cruised through town a few miles away to a resort on our Segways, and snorkeled for awhile and then drove our Segways back to town. It was really fun! What a fun time you have planned! Enjoy...

Hey Pony, have a super time! Just to let you know that I left the stadium before the Sound Check and after as well. The guys in Toronto were very good about it. We had a separate entrance and they just checked our tickets again. Most people stayed in the restaurant the whole time and chatted. Vegas is not one my favourite places but it would be worth seeing PG there and talking in the Beatles Love show as well. I hope that PG gets to meet your son and if not try to stay behind after the concert and ask Dickie for a copy of the set list from the stage. He's really good about doing this. Dar -- in some photos Dickie is wearing a phillies baseball cap . More to that story later! Enjoy the show, pony and I know your 14 year old son will enjoy it also. My great niece Morgan is 14 and she was at the Philly show. We had 3 generations of fans there that night-- my sister Anna, her son joe and his daughter Morgan. Not a single one of us was disappointed.

Sound check was very good. PG did some 'Big Time' for us which rocked. As others have said, it really humanized him to have him talking to us about the show. Now we are in our seats just waiting for the show to start. Our seats are superb. I don't think we could get any better. Perfectly clear view and almost center stage. 2-3 steps and we can touch the stage. Still haven't seen any other kids, its definitely mostly an older crowd. We are going to try hanging out like @bluedog recommends and see if we can get Dickie's set list. In the next couple of days I will try and get some of our photos posted for everyone to see.

Just got back from Planet Hollywood! Show was great with some pleasant surprises, HumDrum for instance. Tower that ate people was KILLER! Thanks Peter!

Absolutely mad as hell at age 42 this the first time I seen PG. He was amazing, and I'll kick myself for not seeing him earlier. And the opening act what an awesome voice. Only complaint was the derelicts sitting in front of us. Apparently this young couple paid 140.00 a piece to suck each others ears and talk the whole time and annoy everyone around them.. Not to mention continuously bumping this old man, I'd say he was in his 70s who came to see Peter. Sir sorry your experience was ruined by fat guy standing in front of you and the bladder boy with cackling girlfriend constantly getting up...Other than that sound awesome, show awesome, I want to see him Gabriel again first chance!

Last night's show was far better than I expected and in every fashion. PG's voice sounds great and there's still much power and range, although in a few of the number's I noticed that Rhodes took the lead. I've only seen one other concert in Vegas, and was hoping that any significant number of tickets wouldn't land in the hands of a half priced ticket buyer who didn't know PG or his music. Much to my surprise while the venue was nowhere full, most in attendance knew the music as the sing-a-longs were terrific. Highlights for me, absolutely Secret World and the Family and the Fishing Net, and The Tower solely for the effects and the power of the sound, and Don't Give Up for it's sheer drama (felt like a Broadway number with Peter's theatrics). One final note, Jenny Abrahamson has a stunningly angelic voice and did a wonderful job setting the tone for the evening and she handled the female lead parts with great aplomb. So happy that we decided to make the trip, and that New Blood wasn't my final PG concert, as this is the music PG was put on this earth to make. Fantastic!

It was a fantastic show - I am a huge fan of Gabriel - and this was the first time I ever saw him play live! The only way to describe it is: professional. Peter and the band are just incredibly professional and committed to their music. I was blown awway by th eplaying, the singing, how well the effects on stage were synched - the whole thing. I'v enever seen any musician or band have such perfect understanding of what they are trying to accomplish on stage. What a remarkable performance. Thank you Peter for coming to vegas!!

I have waited all my life to see Gabe perform. Friday in Vegas, my wish came true. The highlight? Having Peter point the mic at me during In Your Eyes. Singing with Gabe? My life is complete

I drove from Phoenix to see Peter Friday night in Las Vegas. I absolutely LOVED the show. I grew up a PG fan and have always wanted to see him live. I missed him the couple of times he came through Phoenix. When I heard he was going to be in Vegas when the tour dates came out, I HAD to go and let me tell you, it was WELL worth the wait and the 5 hour drive each way. The crowd was awesome and Peter and the band was too. Jennie Abrahamson was fantastic too. So happy I made the journey!!
