Zenrider-Funny thing I noticed in your pictures of the soundcheck. At both of the sound checks I attended I saw this guy at the back of our sound check group with dark hair, but a bleach blonde steak right down the middle, sort of a dye job mohawk. I recognized him from the New Blood tour. He was at the sound check in Boston, and after that show talked to the crew on stage about how he had worked with PG at some point, and I saw them bring him backstage. So then, I went to Saratoga-great seats-but didn't have the sound check there. There is the same guy, sitting right in front of me. I said hello, and told him I had met him at Boston, he chatted briefly but was with a date, and she pulled him off to go backstage after the show. So, I see him again in Philly for this tour, and he's sitting at the back of the group of sound check folks, and next to him on the seat is a wooden rooster carving. I nudged Pat, and said pointed him out to her, she didn't recognize him. I saw him again in NY. And now there's the rooster on stage during your sound check in Chicago, on Tony Levin's amp. Hmnn...a mystery man. Maybe I'll solve the mystery one day. Who is he? And what's up with the rooster?

I think the guy you are talking about is Tom Lord-Alge...I saw him backstage in Montreal, too, and am told that he goes to all the shows, every tour.

Thanks JCBH. He told me his first name, at New Blood, and I remembered his name when I saw him in Saratoga, but when I saw him at Philly-I couldn't recall his name. He was sort of in the fringes of the group at Philly, not sitting with the rest, then when sound check was over, he had disappeared. I did see him one more time that night as we were walking from Wells Fargo Center to Xfinity Live to meet up for drinks, I looked down to where the trucks and buses were loading for the breakdown of the show, and there he was standing with the crew. He had on the coolest jean jacket, with PG Melt pic on the back. When I got to sound check in NY, there he was again, but again at the back of the group. He tried to hand PG something during the Jones Beach show, the Watcher of the Skies pic that someone had made into a sign, and PG wouldn't take it. I wonder if he's out in Denver tonight?

According to a friend of mine in the band, he is at every show, every tour...definitely a fan!

Great pics, Zen! And you really do a great job of "not taking pics" during the show Thanks for sharing. As for the Rooster and his man -- I don't really recognize him and don't recall seeing him before, but then again, perhaps he didn't have the rooster last time I'm thinking that the rooster is just along for the ride -- lucky wooden bird! I'll be on the lookout for him -- the rooster, that is -- at the VA show and keep you posted.

Yeah, well, I took a bunch of pics in a few songs. I couldn't believe the people that couldn't seem to ever put their camera away. Sorry, can't dance and photograph in low light at the same time. Didn't do any video, because I would have had to block the view of people behind me too much to do that. OK and figured others would have that covered. Thanks to those, like Mozo, that posted their videos of the show on YouTube. They were joking about sacrificing the chicken after the soundcheck.
