Hey, I just got the email with the specifics from United Center. Guess they haven't forgotten. Any idea what appetizers and refreshments means? Is that a bowl of chips and a soda or real food??

perhaps i should do a little research, but i assume a point-and-shoot camera is permissible. anybody? bueller? bueller?
additionally, i did not purchase parking with the tickets. will finding something be a problem in the big, big city? brewtown is the biggest i've ventured for a long, long time.

That's all right Bird, sorry about the TMI earlier. Just something I can't seem to get out of my mind for some reason.

Not sure the appetizers will be the same, but at the New Blood Show, if I remember right, they had a gourmet make your own nachos spread, along with crackers and several different flavors of humus, vegetarian chili and maybe something else I'm forgetting? Oh, wait that would be mashed potatoes. There were also people bringing in some other toothpick appetizers from time to time as well, I think one was a potato something or another and the other was a beef something or another. All was really good. You received tickets for two 'free' drinks as well. Ever venue was different and this could be different since the last.

Mozo, I'm thinking parking will not be a problem for you, it's more a matter of how close you want to be. The VIP email said point and shoots are allowed. No videoing allowed at the soundcheck.
Soundcheck parking is in lot K. The parking was not included with the soundcheck ticket.
Here's an idea of the lots available around the UC.
http://www.unitedcenter.com/unitedcenter/ParkingInformationGeneral.asp There may be other options. However, if you don't know the area, probably better to pay to park in one of the lots, then risk having your car towed and impounded.

I haven't gotten my email yet.

Maybe I'm disinvited!

Hope I see it tomorrow!
Parking is in Lot K? Is it no cost? I hope I can still use my Lot H receipt! Just in case I don't get the email...what time are we supposed to be there?

Mozo -- although VIP parking is not tech included I m hoping that when we park so early in the designated area that it's free.
A "day of interesting things" is SO appropriate!!! I'm in full swing here on mine!

I ended up emailing to slocustomerservice@slotix.com, and a nice person there sent it right away, telling me that it kept bouncing back. *shrug*

Craig, it's the aura around Waunaukee. That email is just stunned that it's going to "the only Waunaukee in the world!" ; )

Beaker, I don't know. Since lot H is the VIP lot, I'm thinking you should be able to park there early, but maybe a phone call or email would be not a bad idea to make sure. Though I would hope if they sold you that lot with your VIP soundcheck ticket... Weird about your email bumping the message back.
They do charge for Lot K. Can't remember if we were charged the full amount, $25, but probably. Entered at the Adams St gate.
Almost there....

3 days till Chicago!
I can get into the lot about "2 - 2:30pm" they said. I'll likely be there before 2 so we'll see. I'll try to pop down to Billy Goats if there is time, otherwise we'll certainly get the chance to hang out before the show!

Figure to head there early just in case there are any traffic issues. That time of day there shouldn't be, but... So I'll probably pop into Billy Goats, just because it's the closest place I know in that area. OK, it's the only place I know it that area.

We'll have plenty of time I'm sure to hang out between soundcheck and show for sure.

So Billy Goats is the place to hang between the sound check and show?

Hi Red_Rain1 - I don't think we'll be allowed out after the sound check, and besides, they will be providing us food and drinks.

The plan is to meet at Billy Goats before the sound check, around 2-ish, for a little pre-party and then head to the sound check check in.

I am taking a break from packing for the big day- I am so absolutely excited about this. I am kicking myself for not buying one of the premium packages, but I couldn't swing it at the time. So everyone, enjoy the soundcheck!
I may stop by Billy Goats after the show if anyone is there to live vicariously. I'm taking cabs to and from, by the way. Parking drives me crazy.
See you soon...

Oh, thanks Ela! Wish you could have made it to this show too, but wow, you could do your own tour diary.

VIP details!
Just got back from the Detroit show, so I have answers to some questions.
Parking. There was free VIP parking but the lot attendants didn't know about it. I ended up paying 15 dollars, pulling around the back of the arena to a sign that said free VIP parking. Drats.
Food. The VIP food was excellent. Roasted chicken ,potatoes, squash etc, salad, rolls pasta, fruit and appetizer bar, dessert bar, soft drinks, coffee, one free alcohol drink. Served inthe VIP lounge of the arena. Private bathrooms and quiet facility.
Rules. They let you take still pictures at sound check. You can't leave once you go to sound check, but you can get your freebies and take them back to the car before start time. Peter interacts with the audience if you interact with him. Don't leave the VIP room until they kick you out, there's nothing much else to do.
Have fun, it's a blast
