Dearest Mr. Gabriel, I’m pleased that you are making your way to the States for your tour. Unfortunately for me, I will most likely be unable to attend the concert(s) as I am too ill to drive these distances and would have to fly to one of the venues. My friends are unable to go but I don't have a problem going by myself! I am still going to give it a shot at one of the shows (at least); if I can get the money together for ticket, airfare, hotel, etc. I saw you twice during the Growing Up tour and just had the most wonderful time! And of course, the other tours as well! Some of the best times in my life. Recently, I actually found a you-tube video from Nov 1982 filmed at a concert here in Dayton Ohio and I was in the very front row at that concert; it was the Security tour. You were performing "Lay your hands on me" and, as you "fall" on your back into the audience, I can clearly see myself with my striped shirt right there! (I'm holding your right ankle) I knew there was a photo of this on "Plays Live" (back cover) all those years ago as we had a contact who knew Margaret Maxwell and were told the photo would be on the Live album. But the video! I had no idea it existed and accidentally found it one day...I was so excited about it that I was crying and screaming into a pillow so as to not alarm anyone. What a souvenir! We also spotted a few of our friends; you landed right on top of us. And we all looked SO young! I was only 21 at that time; what a blast from the past. I understand that you and your family may be travelling for a while after this tour and the thought of waiting another year to see you causes me sadness. I have had a lot of problems in my lifetime that you and your music have helped me to deal with. I really need some Live Peter Gabriel as soon as possible! I’m hoping you may add some dates; perhaps in Ohio (I am in Dayton) or that some good seats will still become available at the other shows; if I can manage the cost. Rest assured I will try. Thank you for everything; you are of great inspiration to me; you and your music have a direct effect on my life. Know what would be really cool? If your website offered Full Moon Club t-shirts; maybe black with a whitish full moon on it; the option to personalize it, if you like, with your name, like “Lunatic Connie Conehead”; perhaps a pic of a full moon and “Full Moon Club” on the front and, if so chosen, “Lunatic (insert name here)”. I have thought of trying to make my own but I do not want to infringe on any copyright laws. Could I have your permission to do this; just for myself? Rest assured this is NOT to make any profits or to sell; just something I'd love to have. If so, could I make some for a couple of friends? I imagine I'd have to place a bulk order. And I would love to send you one as well! I hope I can swing one of these concerts; I really need a Peter Gabriel show right about now. If not, I hope you enjoy yourself; so many people in the USA love you so very much. And never forget, there’s a woman in a small city in Ohio who you’ve been nothing but sheer inspiration to. You have no idea how much you have helped me for the last 35 years. Let me know about the shirt… My best to you and yours, Connie Frazier a.k.a. Connie Conehead connieconehead@woh.rr.com PS I know I've said this before but I could die a happy woman if I could hear you do some "Supper's Ready"; I know technically it's a Genesis song but really, it's your song. "Lord of Lords, King of Kings, has returned to take his CHILDREN HOME; to take them to the new Jerusalem!"
