Stymie2000-I can't speak for the Red Rocks VIP, but I did have the VIP package with New Blood for Boston. We were not allowed to leave once we went in, so dress accordingly. I wore layers because it was cool and rainy that day and that venue is an outside amphitheater. Once the sound check was over we were escorted to an area to have drinks and dinner. It was a little buffet with finger foods and cocktails and soda, etc... The nice thing was that you are inside the venue when merchandise is being set up, and I was able to go to the stand and check things out, buy a t-shirt, etc...Doors to the venue opened an hour or so before the show, and then it was nearly showtime. Cameras were allowed at sound check. There is a VIP helper, last tour it was a young guy named Zach. He told you what to expect, what was allowed, etc...I think he did sort of discourage the picture taking at sound check, but cameras were allowed in, and I know that some people took pictures then. When it's a small group of people, and you are close to the stage, it does feel a bit strange to take pics when the band is looking right at you, it sort of breaks the intimacy in some ways. I chose to watch the sound check, and didn't take pictures until the show later. So far I've heard that the Canada info. said to be there at 3pm, and plan to stay inside the venue. I'm still waiting for my e-mail to arrive re: the Philly VIP. I'd wear jeans and a t-shirt in to the sound check, but bring a bag with layers to add on later. Another note on the camera-it's safest to bring a point and shoot camera without a detachable lens. I have had problems at some of PG shows bring in my Nikon camera because the lens detaches and they consider it a "professional camera". Have a great time at Red Rocks!
